21.01.2022 #FUCKCANCER Cancer sadly impacts many of our friends and family. The disease is without mercy or regret and can target loved ones during any stage of their life; young and old. Our good friend Tim Ford has recently felt the devastating blow of cancer with his Grandfather being diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. Tim's grandfather (aka Poppy) represents what a loved one means to most of us: a friend, a mentor... a source of strength and inspiration.... Tim wanted to do something special to represent his love for his Pop but also do something to help others battling cancer. The #FUCKCANCER kit designed in collaboration with Tim is a simple and beautiful gesture signifying the love and support the cycling community have for people suffering from the terrible disease. 18.01.2022 As a proud Wollongong local this is a little difficult to comprehend... Our beautiful city will be home to the 2022 @uci_cycling Road World Championships! It's hard to believe images like this will be seen at home. The benifits this will bring to the Wollongong and NSW cycling community will be huge. More infrastructure and support for cycling will need to be introduced to the area in order for Wollongong to rise to the occasion as it steps on to the world stage. 15.01.2022 South Africa's Cape Epic race. A gruelling 8 day MTB race classified as one of the hardest races in the world. STëLF Cycling was honoured to be carried on the shoulders of two incredible athletes; Briony Mattocks & Wayne "Dicko" Dickinson. Both athletes were invited to race at this years event and took STëLF, Cyclery Northside, Shimano-MTB, c-bear bicycle ceramic bearings and Specialized Bicycles along for the ride. Briony had what can only be described as a chaotic lead into... the event once landing in SA. Overzealous baggage handlers, food poisoning, credit card skimming and avoiding stolen grapes (long story) all tried to prevent Bri from lining up at the starters gate. Dispite all the BS, Bri and Dicko launched into Cape Epic 2018 with a 3rd place win after Day 1. Sadly there was a touch of wheels on Day 2 which brought Bri down resulting in a badly broken collarbone! Dicko however showed true grit and got the remaining 6 days done solo ... A monster effort in both physical and mental strength! Big hugs and massive high fives to Bri and Dicko for trusting in STëLF on arguably the most demanding MTB race in the world. Quality products supporting quality althetes. Bring on Cape Epic 2019 ... We just gotta wrap Bri in 6 layers of bubble wrap and provide security escort for her pre-race.
