25.04.2022 To everyone celebrating this occasion, Happy Mid Autumn Festival! Pity, it's cloudy. Otherwise, we would see a full moon.

09.04.2022 Hi everyone, In Covid news, one of the new mystery cases today is from Doncaster, and Health Officials are concerned. If you feel unwell and have been around Doncaster you should get tested. There are 2 testing facilities in the area:... The Old Volkswagen site on the corner of Elgar and Doncaster roads. https://www.4cyte.com.au/Covid19_Location_Doncaster.php In Bulleen off Thompsons Road. https://www.4cyte.com.au/Covid19_Location_Bulleen.php I just went to get tested at the one on Thompsons Rd; it just opened yesterday. It makes it so easy for us to get tested. I now have to isolate until I get the result. They say it'll take 24 - 48hours. If you have any symptoms, please come forward and get tested.

03.04.2022 It's been a while since I last posted on this page, hope everyone's well. Now in our fifth lockdown in Victoria, there is also a fifth reason to leave home getting vaccinated. I was very happy to be able to book a spot and had my first Pfizer jab yesterday at the Royal Exhibition Building. Thanks to a helpful and efficient team, the process was easy and smooth. I never thought I would be vaccinated for Covid-19 at this historic building built for the Melbourne International Exhibition in 1880, and hosted the opening the first Parliament of Australia in 1901 but I was, during a pandemic, in 2021.

01.04.2022 Attended the Schools ANZAC Commemoration Service held at Templestowe Memorial Park today. This service has been run by the Rotary Club of Templestowe since 1990, and together with the Templestowe Returned Services League, the club invites the participation of students from primary and secondary schools in Manningham. Ordinarily, between 700-800 students would participate but this year, with Covid restrictions in place, 50 students from 25 schools took part and laid wreaths on the memorial.

25.03.2022 Perfect autumn weather for some eggplant lasagne. Made the sauce with tomatoes given by my next-door neighbour.

25.01.2022 Look at these cuties! We've decided to take the plunge and add to our family. The lockdowns have given us time to think about what we can do to live more sustainably and decided we're ready to have some chooks in the backyard. The little one is excited! He wants some Bantam-Silkies and I'm getting a couple of good egg-laying Wyandottes. :D #sustainability

25.01.2022 Walked to my local bakery yesterday to pick up some goodies, and to support a friend and a fellow Tullamore Ward business. Not only does Ali makes great baklavas and a wide range of pastries, he also makes divine vanilla swiss rolls and profiteroles. It is an understatement to say our local small businesses have been hard hit by this pandemic. We know businesses had to adapt quickly during this period and go online but not many had the capability to put up a online shop or have an online presence quickly. We also know some councils have provided very good support for their local businesses during this period including substantial discounts on their rates. If I’m elected, I will look into ways we can support our local businesses to get back on their feet. #manningham #community

18.01.2022 A special performance for a very good day, 25C and only 21 new Covid-19 cases (down from over 700 cases six weeks ago). Marvellous Melburnians! #Community

18.01.2022 Happy Friday! With only 43 new Covid-19 cases across Victoria overnight, we are doing well. Here's a new little village that popped up in Tullamore Ward that brings a bit of cheer - Spoonville at Tullamore Estate. Well done to all the little ones who contributed their creations. #manningham #community #liveability

17.01.2022 What a nice day to be out putting up signs. Thanks to all my lovely friends and neighbours who didn't hesitate when I asked whether I could put up my signs in their gardens and on their fences

16.01.2022 What a gorgeous spring we're having! I'm really happy we can be out exercising for two hours now. It gives me time during my walks around the neighbourhood to stop and take photos. Gorgeous flowers have bloomed everywhere and bees are hard at work pollinating. #manningham #liveability #sustainability

16.01.2022 In less than 4 weeks’ time, the Victorian Electoral Commission will be sending out ballot packs for council elections to voters across Victoria. When I ran in the 2016 Manningham council elections, a number of residents said to me that they didn’t know enough about the candidates to be able to make an informed choice. I thought that was a fair point. That's why this time around, I decided I will put together some information to help fellow residents to know a bit more about me, my connections to the community, and what I will advocate for. My website is now ready and if you’re interested, please visit www.stellayee.community where I also have a survey for you to let me know what’s important to you :) #manningham #community #liveability #sustainability

15.01.2022 Morning everyone, a friend from Rotary Club of Doncaster invited me to their inaugural event, Doncaster Hill Market tomorrow and I thought I'd share it with you. It's been a long time since we had a market in our part of town and I'm really excited! I'll be there and I hope to see you! #manningham #community

15.01.2022 This week is NAIDOC Week. Here's Birrarung aka Yarra River - a source of life for thousands of years - flowing through the traditional land of the Wurundjeri people. Always Was, Always Will be. #NaidocWeek2020 #manningham

15.01.2022 Afternoon at the beach! #melbourne

14.01.2022 Went for another walk at Westerfolds today and there was wildlife everywhere. The lone koala was still there, same spot different tree, sulphur-crested cockatoos, kookaburras, and this mob of kangaroos. It's probably the largest number of kangaroos I've seen in one spot at Westerfolds. During these lockdowns how many of us have needed to out at parks like Westerfolds? We're actually very lucky we have Westerfolds Park today. I heard there was a plan to develop the area during Dick Hamer's time? I also heard a group of people living in the area saved it. Would love to hear more about this. Our parklands are definitely one of the best things about Manningham and I hope they continue to be there for the enjoyment of future generations. #manningham #liveability #sustainability

12.01.2022 Fantastic news! The 14-day moving average for new cases in metropolitan Melbourne falls below 50 today! This puts us on track to ease restrictions on 28 Sept. Compare this to what's happening around the world, with many countries experiencing significant spikes in new cases. Well done Melbourne, together we can do this!

11.01.2022 We did it! We have reached out to almost all the households in Tullamore Ward. I hope my flyer provides enough information about me, my connections to the community, and what I hope to achieve to my fellow residents. I would like to express my gratitude to my twelve friends and neighbours who have helped me in this effort. Every one of them lives in Tullamore Ward and I am touched by their support. I'm also so happy that we all got to enjoy the beautiful weather this... weekend! Having letterboxed the ward twice (the first time was in July to survey our community), I can say I have walked on every street, lane and cul-de-sac in the ward. I have seen many nicely-kept areas but I have also seen some streets that need attention. I am bothered by what appears to be neglect and if I am elected, I will look into whether Council invests equitably in infrastructure and services across the municipality. Given the growth in Tullamore Ward (giving rise to additional rate income), we should expect a corresponding investment in our area. #manningham #community #liveability #sustainability

10.01.2022 Hi everyone, here's a closer look at our growing pains in Manningham. In particular, how it's impacting our local school in Tullamore Ward, Birralee Primary. The same is happening in many of our primary and secondary schools in Manningham. #manningham #community #liveability #sustainability

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, from the very positive feedback we received from our Trivia Night in August, we decided we will host another one. This time the theme is Music, Movies & Mud! Yes, mud, as many of us would have spent some time in the garden during this period. Hope you can join us for an evening of fun, good cheer and great company. Only one week to go! https://www.trybooking.com/BLSSL

07.01.2022 Hello everyone, welcome to my new page and yes, I'm running for council in Manningham! For the October elections, Manningham has been moved to a new single councillor ward system and as such, we have 9 new smaller wards instead of the previous 3 larger wards. Last week, these wards were given their new names. My family and I have lived in Tullamore Ward for the past 16 years and we love it here. Our son attended Birralee Primary School in Tullamore Ward, and we also run a sm...all business in Tullamore Ward. So it makes sense for me to run in this ward, and hopefully represent the lovely people here on council. In the coming weeks I hope to chat with my neighbours, friends and fellow residents but these are challenging times, not least for campaigning. With just 13 weeks to Election Day, much of my reaching out will have to be on social media. Hope you can help me out by liking my page, invite your friends to do the same and help spread the word. Thank you so much in advance! #Community #Liveability #Sustainability

07.01.2022 At the Remembrance Day Service at Templestowe Memorial Reserve. Lest we forget. #remembranceday #manningham

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, look what I discovered over the weekend? One of my signs had vanished! I guess I should be grateful they didn't take the frame as well. Anyway, I've replaced it, so there! #manningham #community

03.01.2022 Officially a candidate for Tullamore Ward! If you'd like to have a chat about your concerns about our ward, please feel free to DM me or contact me through my website: www.stellayee.community If you like, we could also meet "face-to-face" through Zoom. Hope to hear from you. :) #manningham #community #liveability #sustainability

02.01.2022 What a fantastic day today turned out to be! The weather was great, we had our ninth straight day (taking our 14-day moving average for Metro Melbourne to 0.4!), further easing of restrictions (we can go to our favourite beach again, yay!), we now have our own monthly community market (Doncaster Hill Market), and oh yes, Joe Biden in now President-elect of the United States and Kamala Harris will be the first woman Vice President (and she's multiracial: Black and Indian American!). All in all, a very good day indeed #manningham #community
