21.01.2022 STEM Fest Australia is launching again tomorrow at Fountain College from 9.30 AM to 2.30 PM for school students. Everyone is invited to this special event. Schedule for the day is: Water Rocket building & launching: 9.30 AM - 2.30 PM Hands on Scientific displays: 9.30 AM - 11.30 AM 11.30-12.00: UWA Physics Demo... 12.30-1.00: Astronomy Lecture 10.00- 12: Spaghetti Bridge Building Workshop 1.00-2.00: Spaghetti Bridge Building Judging 10.00-12.00: Solar Car Building Workshop 2.00 - 2.30: Solar Car Race 2.00-2.30: Hands on Scientific displays ICRAR Sun viewing: 12 PM - 2 PM Maker Workshop 1: 10.30 AM - 11 AM Maker Workshop 2: 12.30 PM - 1 PM Maker Workshop 3: 2.00 PM - 2.30 PM Hoping to see everyone there.

13.01.2022 Hi I am pleased to confirm that our final STEM Fest Australia event of the year will take place on 3rd December, Saturday at Fountain College. The event will take place between 10 AM and 2.30 PM. The event is open to everyone. The event will focus on the technological aspect of STEM and there will be opportunities for students to participate in a number of different workshops. To secure a place in a workshop please email [email protected] with the year level of the chil...d, the child's name and school name with preferences of activities from 1 to 8. The activities are: -Unplugged Coding: coding without computers. -Coding -3D printing -LEGO Wedo (Year 2 and above): LEGO robotics for primary students -LEGO Mindstorms (Year 5 and above): LEGO robotics for upper primary and secondary -Beebots (Suitable for students Year 1 to 4): Basic robotics and coding for lower primary -Probots: Coding for students year 3 and up -Droids: control droids (BB-8, Sphero, Ollie) with a smart phone Each session has it's own maximum capacity, so please book your preferred sessions early to avoid disappointment. There will also be some competitions which will be judged on the day (details will follow soon) and the lucky winners will be treated with piloting drones! Parents are welcome as well.
