Step Out is a boutique disability provider servicing Katherine for 30 Years. We work with participants from diverse cultural and social backgrounds and lifestyles. Our participants have varied and different life experiences, physical abilities, and skills. We are looking for a person who is passionate about making a difference; who is open to new ways of thinking; who values genuine long-lasting relationships, enjoys creating a cohesive and productive team environment and who is flexible, courageous, and believes in opportunity and inclusion for all. The Supported Independent Living (SIL) Coordinator position is an integral one within Step Out’s Management Team with clearly defined responsibilities under the SCHADS Award Level 6. The position requires extensive knowledge of the NDIS which includes regulated reporting, new Supported Independent Living (SIL) Applications and submitting a Roster of Care for new and existing participants. You will be leading and supervising an experienced team ensuring delivery of supports are of the highest standards of the individual needs of Step Out participants are met across both of our SIL locations. Ideally this position would benefit a person with nursing background with a minimum of a Certificate IV in Individual Support (or higher) plus more than 12 Months experience in Disability Support with effective rostering experience. Your responsibilities will extend into regulatory reporting of participants as well as implementing and monitoring their individual person-centred support plans to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve outcomes in a positive and proactive environment.
