23.01.2022 INTRODUCING MISS MADI Welcome to the Step Up Dance Team! Madi is no stranger to Step Up Dance Townsville! She was a dance student of mine when she was just 12 years old and also participated in many of our adult classes as well as our 2018 End of year showcase.... Madi will be teaching all classes at Step Up Dance until I return. I won’t be away for too long! I will be back with a new little crew member ASAP helping out in classes and prepping for our end of year showcase! Miss Telissa

21.01.2022 Do you have a passion for dance?Love inspiring people? We are looking for an assistant teacher to join our team, to then take on our classes when Miss Telissa goes on maternity leave! Must be able to take on hip hop and jazz dance classes and have great choreography skills! ... Must be able to work with children ages prep and above right up to running adult classes. 12.01.2022 IMPORTANT! Due to the Covid-19 restrictions it has been difficult to source a venue that will cater to our needs for our little dance school to do our big showcase. This year things will be a little bit different we will do a small display for students to showcase what they have been learning in class due to the three months off from classes we do not have as much dance content to show so the display will be very short. We are however still doing presentations at the end! After everyone’s hard work trying to catch up on routines how could we not!! Please keep an eye out for the date of the display coming soon!

03.01.2022 COVID NEWS THE MOMENT WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR We have been closed for 12 weeks due to Covid-19 but....... It has now been announced that sporting groups of 20 are allowed to start back up again! I know everyone is super excited but we may have to wait one more week! 20 people per venue are allowed. As we operate within B-Fitt we have to wait until the government releases 20 people per space for us to use the upstairs studio. This is set to be announced and allowed for next week! So if all goes well we should be back at classes on the 9th June! I will be in contact with all existing students and parents within this time to organise classes that were missed due to the closures of the studio. Please understand that no new students will be taken on until term 3. THE COUNTDOWN IS ON

01.01.2022 First classes of the year done and dusted! Bring on another fabulous year at Step Up Dance Townsville!

01.01.2022 DISPLAY INFORMATION! Unfortunately due to covid this year we are only able to do a small ‘display’ instead of a ‘showcase’. Family and parents will be invited to come and watch a ‘warm up and stretch’ two runs of their child’s routine and also award hand out for their child’s class only. Having to close the studio for 4 months of the year has allowed for much less dance content to be choreographed and taught so we do not have enough routines to fill an entire Showcase. Instead we will do this small display where family and parents can see what we do and have been working on in class. We do have a limit to the amount of people allowed in our audience so please let me know how many tickets your family will need. Tickets this year are FREE of charge. Thankyou for understanding
