11.01.2022 One of my favs is Lemongrass this is yesterdays harvest. It is fantastic as a tea, I use the leafy part of the grass and steep with a little ginger( 10-15) mins). Lemon grass has a cooling energy and contains a component called citral which soothes the stomach. Lemon grass is also a detox remedy as it contains antioxidants. It is rich in potassium so it regulates blood pressure. Boosts metabolism and is a great source of Vit A and C which is beneficial for your hair, skin and immune system. The bulb part of Lemongrass is yummy in Thai or Indian cooking. You can also use the bulb to replant, cut of the stem leave about 5 cm from the root place in a glass of water and it will reshoot.

09.01.2022 The process immediately after birth is an incredibly important time for both mother and baby. Too often mother and baby are separated by cutting the cord within... seconds following the birth and whisking the baby away for a physical assessment. Its important for parents to know they have choices and can voice their wants and needs. If you want immediate skin to skin with your baby, delayed cord clamping or lotus birth, newborn assessment to be done while baby is on your chest or right next to you rather than across the room. SAY IT! Discuss these options and put them in your birth plan. #Repost @withrepost @geelongborn FIRST MINUTES AFTER BIRTH A great photo by @jennifermasonphotography showing the normal colour of a newborn during its first minutes of life. Skin to skin with mum and receiving the important last millimetres of fetal blood from the placenta. You can see the cord is still thick with iron-rich, oxygenated blood that will greatly benefit this bub in the months ahead. 08.01.2022 November has been a month of change, movement and creativity a time to let go of the old and open the door to the new. After 20 years I have moved home to the peaceful Golden Bay with my wonderful partner who has helped me renovate a new clinic. The clinic is opening tomorrow and for the next month I am offering a free consultation with every massage. Please feel free to pass it on. For my wonderfully supportive existing clients I will still be practising from Spearwood same as usual and I hope to see you very soon.

01.01.2022 Today is one of my favourite days of the year the Summer Solstice it is the peak of the year as we are being bathed in the full power of the sun everything is illuminated. So celebrate the light and love and the greatness that you we are. Thank you to my family, friends and clients for all your support, love and patience this year as it has been a challenging one for me a bit like a steep slippery slide (but i landed well without too many grass burns).
