06.01.2022 This is a ghost tree It is pretty amazing because it’s sitting in the middle of a barren desert, surrounded by rocks and it’s so beautiful and green. The other plants around it are much darker and are not as lush as this. It rains properly about 4 times a year here and it survives by utilising any rain it does get, spreading upto 20 metres underground with its roots and cuts off supply to certain branches that they don’t need by forming a plug in the branches and killing them... off (these are the brown branches seen in the photo). To me this is much like us and cutting off any un-useful things in our life to spend more time on the things that made a positive impact and difference in our lives to help us flourish amongst the other regular trees. It can be hard to let go, but if you have a strong desire for something, think about what’s stopping you or holding you back and work out ways of limiting these things and put more energy into the things that support you in becoming who you want to be See more
