17.01.2022 Thanks Ben Preiss for the terrific front page story in The Age today about our gorgeous OG beach (great pic by Jason South) and how to work with nature, use common sense and enjoy the great outdoors! https://www.theage.com.au//go-early-or-go-late-changes-fla

14.01.2022 Front page mention in The Age - Whoo hoo happy with that Thanks to MUP and of course my incredible bio subject, Susan Alberti. We’ve actually sold more than 8000 copies and it’s still selling strongly due to @susanalberti ‘s speaking gigs. #dynamo #amazingwoman A fitting celebratory mention on the day of the AFLW Season Opener!
13.01.2022 Had a fun morning at the IWD Terindah event with hundreds of amazing Bellarine women! Thanks so much for the invitation to speak, great audience and so far we have three signed up as interested in running for next council election - yippee!

07.01.2022 What a delightful night filled with clever creative people of Drysdale! Thank you Helen and all the entrants and guests - an honour to be involved.
05.01.2022 I was delighted to move the Settlement Strategy at last night's council meeting. This is a significant move to protect the Bellarine Peninsula from over-development. Thank you to CoGG for listening to community concerns about urban sprawl.
04.01.2022 If you want specific infrastructure for the Bellarine, now is the time to ask for it! Lots of people have talked to me about a 50m pool and also wanting better bike paths and walking trails. The City of Greater Geelong is asking what the community needs and wants - speak up now!
02.01.2022 If your ballot paper is still on the kitchen table and you haven't quite decided or finalised your voting order, I respectfully ask you to consider putting a 1 next to my name If you're not sure who else to select, I highly recommend Trent Sullivan as number 2 and then suggest you choose according to who you think sounds reasonable and professional on the ballot sheet. Below is a quick snapshot of my priorities and what I'd like to achieve. If you'd like to know more about... me please visit https://stephanieasher.com.au/mayorship/ I was honoured to be elected to council in 2017 by the Bellarine community and by my fellow councillors as Mayor of Greater Geelong in 2019. I am keen to keep the work rate high and the focus on the Bellarine community. If re-elected to represent my community, I will continue to ensure Bellarine Ward voices are heard and that our rates go towards much-needed facilities like shared trails, swimming pools, libraries, arts venues, decent roads and local streetscapes. My passion remains to ensure that: - our beautiful peninsula is protected, respected and not over-developed - the North Bellarine pool becomes a reality - the 10-year trails masterplan starts with 13th Beach Road and links the paths around the Bellarine - town boundaries are fixed and townships beautified - the Drysdale Sporting Precinct is delivered - businesses are supported and employment opportunities created - all council activities assess environmental, social and financial impacts and opportunities - City of Greater Geelong activities are transparent and accessible - performance is measured and publicly reported - Geelong’s reputation keeps improving Vote 1 Stephanie Asher See more

01.01.2022 OK, I am keen to hear from Bellarine residents and ratepayers about their views on declaring a climate emergency. The Geelong council group is receiving a lot of letters and emails urging us to follow the lead of a number of other local councils and make a declaration on behalf of the City of Greater Geelong. I want to get a sense of the breadth and depth of people's feelings on this. Go...
