01.01.2022 Where's the emotion in marketing the average car? I watched a supercar manufacturing video this morning and the attention to detail, every benefit, technical specification, safety feature and performance figures were handed over in a manner that you felt yourself saying "Yes. it's worth the $2.8M price tag" Seriously?... The marketing had achieved it's purpose. It had created a value statement which in logical terms is insane. $2.8M for a car capable of 300mph (482kph). You can never drive that fast, so most of the features will never be tested. Yet when I think of my SUV, equipped with all the safety features you could want, auto driving, car like handling, responsive performance, insane comfort, stylish looks driving at the legal speed limit and yet I hadn't seen any marketing promoting just how good this car was with all it's features at that price. Where's the strategy in that? How much easier would the sale process be? Not everyone can afford their dream car but imagine if they were marketed to, as if they just had?
