25.01.2022 I have had a few queries on this one.....here is the solution.

22.01.2022 Something for those who follow the tin foil hat brigade..... 5G force field protection.

15.01.2022 Had an interesting phone call yesterday from an "unknown number" telling me that they could get 30% off ALL my bills if i paid some money into their companies account. Hmmm sounds to good to be true??? Yes it does. They are out there now looking for targets as the holiday budget gets a bit tight ...GOODBYE SCAMMER !

15.01.2022 For Mac users...

14.01.2022 I hear a lot of urban myths when fixing computers.....Like "Apple does not get viruses or problems like Windows". Well yes they do!!! Firstly Apple themselves recommencement installing an antivirus and secondly , obviously those people do not read all the Apple support forums that i do. Another I hear is "I hate Windows and all its problems so I am going to use Linux". Again this is a naive point of view to take". Case in point is that recently I re-installed Linux Mint... on a clients PC that had an error message. After re-loading the OS, it had the Black Screen of Death with no display. It did not support the high end graphics card. I got a work-a -round this issue by dumbing down the display using a HDMi to DVI adapter, so that the output resolution would not be so high. Rebooted the computer and there was a nice screen logo. So as you can see ALL operating systems have their own share of issues. Suffice to say I would not have had this issue if I had loaded Windows 10 and its excellent driver support. Anyway Linux Mint , an Ubunttu derivative, looks pretty good and I will be loading it into a Virtual Machine for further investigation. Here is a 7 part series on Linux Mint for those who may be interested .... See more
