The key component for business planning is ensuring that the analysis of the business environment and the resources required to operate in that environment are fully recognised and addressed. Results of the success of implemented business plans are that performance on all measures such as sales, earnings, share prices and return on investment, when compared to organisations that do not plan are better in the order of about 25% to multiples of 100%.
