21.01.2022 I was delighted to visit Tinonee Rural Fire Brigade this morning to check out their new electric roller doors, 5 fire ground radios, concrete slabbing and 2 new quick deploy hose reels thanks to $26100 NSW Government grant. Since the fires last year this brigade has gained 20 new members.
19.01.2022 If you're looking for something to do this weekend I highly recommend a visit to some of the Museums around our region. I recently visited the Manning Valley Historical society in Wingham and their museum is looking better than ever after upgrades to their costume room and behind the scenes maintenance spaces thanks in part to $45 000 from the NSW Governments regional cultural fund.

Our community halls are at the heart of rural and regional communities, so I’m proud to provide support to keep this vital infrastructure maintained. 18.01.2022 I was honoured to join SES Commissioner Carlene York this weekend to present the Wingham SES unit with Bravery and long service awards. Here Gary Greene is being honoured for his bravery at the 2018 Dingo Creek rescue and 35 years service.
18.01.2022 A great afternoon of Grandfinal Rugby at the Ratz ground Taree. In the women’s G/F the Wallamba Bulls defeated Wauchope by 2 points. In the men’s G/F the Manning Ratz defeated the Wallamba Bulls 27-15. I caught up with some Ratz supporters during the game.

17.01.2022 The Great Lakes Pro at Boomerang Beach and Tuncurry Breakwall once again kicked off the 2021 World Surf League Qualifying Series last week. I was delighted to get a behind the scenes look at the live broadcast of the event before presenting the Winners Reef Heazlewood and Molly Pickman and runners up Jordy Lawler and Sophie McCulloch with their awards.

14.01.2022 For the eleventh consecutive day, NSW has reported no recent cases of locally transmitted #COVID19. Eleven cases in overseas travellers in hotel quarantine were diagnosed in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, bringing the total number of cases in NSW to 4,057. Myall Lakes last reported case of COVID19 was announced on the 8th of May.
10.01.2022 Catching up with Michael from the Taree Wildcats recently and hearing about the clubs plans and hopes for the future was a joy. Many sporting groups have been doing it tough this year due to Covid 19, but I'm glad to see that many are remaining positive through this years many hurdles.

01.01.2022 Last years fire season devastated the Manning Valley Bowhunters club, but when I stopped in recently to visit Wally and Chris I was overjoyed by their resilience. From my visit in January to now they've made astounding progress in recovering from this disaster.
