16.01.2022 With the greatest sadness we advise the passing Bob Stephenson on the 17th of May. Bob was the pioneer of Stephensons Water and a much loved husband , father, grandfather and great grandfather of the Stephenson family . Bob delivered water to the local area for more than 40 years and started son Robs, and grandchildren Todd and James love for trucks, with the 3 boys all still carting water to the local community today. Some of our customers have had a delivery from all 3 generations of Stephensons and we wish to thank you for the ongoing support . RIP

13.01.2022 Just a quick reminder to check your tanks before the hot weather . Unfortunately there is no real rain forecast for the next few weeks . Our phone has been ringing from early this morning with customers shocked to find they do not have any water and are already empty ! It is best to keep a weekly check on your tank and book a delivery before your tank runs dry . If you do get caught out remember to turn off your pump so it does not strain and burn out . Im sure not many wr...ote a new pump for their Christmas lists Our household keeps a weekly check on our tanks with a check our tanks Tuesday. We too were surprised that we were running very low when we checked this morning . Not only is it a nuisance to not have running toilets and showers but also remember in an emergency bushfire situation if your using hoses and sprinklers it will run out very quickly if your tank is low . Stay cool this week and our thoughts are with all those across Australia battling drought and fires .

10.01.2022 A lot of people have been noticing a stronger smell and taste of chlorine in both household mains and tank delivered water . Unfortunately due to low dam levels and high water usage at current the chlorination levels are increased. Chlorine helps ensure the water is free from any bacteria . It is still safe to drink and use. Here are some tips to reduce the taste in your water until we get some much needed rain. ... 1. Fill an open jug with water in the morning and let it sit in the open air or in the refrigerator. This will allow the chlorine to dissipate 2. Boil the water and let it cool. 3. Invest in a filter jug: ideal solution for families.

08.01.2022 We will be running trucks with Pea Gravel (5mm and 10mm) for about half the usual price delivered to Upper Beaconsfield for the next few weeks . 08.01.2022 We have had a few calls and messages in regards to the smell and taste of ash and smoke in tank water . We have been provided some information by the EPA which I will share the link below . The suggestions put forward by the EPA are that in smokey weather down pipes should be disconnected from your tank to stop any ash being swept off from your roof and gutters and making its way into your drinking tanks . The contaminated water is still ok for garden use if need be. More i...nformation can be found by pressing the link below https://www.epa.vic.gov.au//epa/files/publications/1725.pdf South East Water (whom we collect our water for deliveries from) has advised that their water is non contaminated. Of course this is a minor inconvenience in relation to the scale and devastation caused by the current fires . But we do want you to be aware of the current situation in Beaconsfield Upper and surrounds and if need be go to the supermarket and buy some bottled water.
