16.01.2022 Ship Wrecks No.2 A South Australian story. Mr Thistle, the ships master, climbed aboard the cutter. Flinders had tasked him with searching for fresh water from the mainland before they continued their search for the passage through the centre of the continent, linking the gulf of Carpentaria with South Australia. Crewed with seven other sailors, the men managed well in the late summer sun and Thistle was eager to return to the Investigator with their news. Loading the cutter,... Mr Thistle’s eyes caught sight of the Investigator between the breaking caps of the surf. Dusk was setting in and he had an uneasy feeling as they pushed off shore. They rode over the first sets with ease. He admired the strength of the men driving the oars of the cutter. It had always impressed him. An alarmed yell! Mr Thistle! Mr Smith waved his arm at a rogue wave. This thrust the cutter sideways throwing the ships master and his crew, heaving the boat to one side. Right yourselves men! Screamed Thistle. But all to vain as the cutter was thrown over carrying the men under water. Thistle struggled against the waves as his clothes weighed him down. Surfacing briefly he gasped for air, calling for his men. Alas, that day the memories of eight sailors were linked to the eight nearby island, tributed by flinders to the brave individuals lost. #wanderlustgreenock #southaustralia #adlfringe #discoversouthaustralia #shipwreck #marble #sculpture #artforsale See more

11.01.2022 SALA 2020 is turning out to be a winner thus far despite the looming situation. This is a shout out to all the people who work behind the scenes making it accessible for all to get out there and display or visit our state's art. In particular, a big thank you to the women at "she is" are gallery who are responsible for gathering 100 Barossa artists, with the subject of a self-portrait, and as you can see in the background they are being projected onto the building, which came about due to social distancing laws. Just like our region's wine capacity.... it's a small region that packs a punch. @sheis_art_barossa @barossaregionalgallery
02.01.2022 I’ve been building on all my skills these last months, and this is something I’m highly proud of. For one it’s not easy making something round from square stone(large and heavy). Two, it is for to beautiful friends of mine and third, future generations will be able to see my work as a piece of local history. A big thank you to @chrifren and @the_artshed for the opportunity and support, still yet to add the pointing . #stonemason #artlife #barossavalley #barossalife #barossaartists

01.01.2022 Creating a new mother mould for the bust of Bartimaeus. The last one failed me as it wasn’t strong enough to mould the filling of cement. However I feel really confident my extra layers of hessian are going to be the key. #Bust #sculpture #artforsalebyartist #autumn
