23.01.2022 If you have changed your phone number or address since your pet was microchipped, then it’s time to update their chip details. Check the paperwork that came with your pet’s microchip, as often you can call or update details online. If you no longer have that paperwork, check your pet’s microchip on www.petaddress.com.au to find out which registry they are on. If you don’t know your pet’s microchip number, just bring them into the clinic and we can scan their chip for the number.

17.01.2022 If anyone has some old/spare towels around the house, please drop to the RSPCA. Their head office is just down the road from us at the clinic (in Stepney). The sweet animals will really appreciate it
15.01.2022 Please wear masks at all times when you leave the house. They must be worn correctly to be effective (covering the whole nose and mouth)
14.01.2022 COVID UPDATE We have implemented some changes again at the clinic. We will remain open during our normal business hours. We are trying to limit routine appointments/surgeries at this stage. If your pet is unwell please contact us as we are here to help. Please DO NOT get out of your car when you arrive. Please call us on 83626688 and we will be able to assist you. ... We are currently not accepting cash payments, and asking clients to pay over the phone where possible. We can also bring our eftpos machines into the car park to process card payments if required. We are restricting access in the clinic, and will bring your pet in for assessment with one of our nurses holding. We are able to do phone consultations if required. We thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. We can all get through this. Please stay safe. See more
12.01.2022 Heat stress is a risk to all pets, but particularly dogs and those kept in cages, such as rabbits and birds. All pets must have access to shade in a well-ventilated area, as well as constant access to cool, fresh water. Dogs should only be exercised in the early morning or evening. If your pets show signs of heat stress, such as open-mouth panting, collapse, or excessive salivating (dogs), contact us immediately. Let’s stay safe this summer.

04.01.2022 Do you have a cat that vomits? Although vomiting can be caused by medical conditions, one normal cause of occasional vomiting in otherwise healthy cats is hairballs. As cats self-groom, they ingest a lot of hair that is normally passed in their faeces, but sometimes this hair is vomited up. If you find your cat vomiting or retching frequently, in large volumes, or is unwell, make an appointment with us today.
