25.01.2022 We are almost half way through the term and our Mighty Monkeys are really starting to demonstrate growth in all areas of learning. What do we get up to? We are busy busy in these classes trying to master basic skills that develop our fine motor skills, concentration skills as well as early literacy and numeracy skills.... What is the age group for this class? 4-5years - ideal for children beginning school in 2021. We still have some availability in these classes and would love to offer new students a free trial. 24.01.2022 These boys . These little guys are best buddies from kindy. During Step to Preps creation stage, these boys joined me in some trial classes. After our trial classes finished the boys wanted to continue our sessions and I couldnt be prouder of them all. They have come so far in such a small amount of time. To see these boys work hard, concentrate on tasks and most importantly, love their weekly learning session, makes me so very happy that I am offering this service. Considering their high energy, their ability to work quietly while concentrating on set tasks has amazed me. Well done my favourite little five year olds. You have each improved so much. In terms of starting school, our program covers a wide range of reading topics. We focus on small group reading as well as modelled reading by the teacher. During these reading episodes, we explore and explicitly teach effective reading strategies used in the early stages of reading. We examine a range of b...ooks while expanding our vocabulary, learning about the meaning of punctuation marks and most importantly, how to comprehend a text.
