19.01.2022 I was given 1.50 kgs of quinces and wondered what to do with them as I didn’t want to waste them. I turned them into quince jelly and membrillo- quince paste! They taste amazing and worth the effort!!

06.01.2022 Zucchinis laid on!! How about a chocolate zucchini cake? I have fond memories of a teacher who made many chocolate zucchini cakes for special staff morning teas at The Basin PS. They were delicious. If you want to try one -a good recipe google it. I used the Womens Weekly recipe. Every one enjoyed it.

02.01.2022 Sharing a special family memory... Guy Fawkes night - 5th November-was a big event on our family's calendar on the farm. Dad would gather up all the fallen limbs and build a huge bonfire. He set up posts to launch some of the crackers -like flower pots, catherine wheels, spinning wheels and sky rockets. As kids we were in awe of the magic, the color, the noise and the smell. Times have changed- Guy Fawkes night has died out but my memories of happy family times have lived on and lasted my lifetime!
