21.01.2022 What a transformation The team have just completed this full exterior restoration to this Ashmore home. Including...... full power wash and mould treatment repairs to all cracks repairs to all damaged render repairs and prep all painted exterior surfaces repainting full exterior updated colour scheme reoiling timber beams deck staining PLUS... The timber posts and deck edging had been painted brown which covered the natural look of the timber. We applied our specialty coating system to give the timber back its natural look and matched it in with the existing timber beams. A great project for great clients!

15.01.2022 Roof Restoration Would you believe this Ashmore roof had only been restored 2 years earlier! Look at the state of it!... The restoring of tile and metal roofing is a very popular home renovation and maintenance project.... And rightly so... Maintaining and protecting roofs has many advantages.... protection of concrete tile and metal sheets fixing leaks and cracks updating colour schemes cooling interior by reflecting heat keeping home insurance valid maintaining and increasing property value and more..... Unfortunately the industry is riddled with scammers... Take a look at the photos... One shows a spare tile which was kept inside the garage for 2 years.... Once placed on the roof, you can see the MASSIVE difference in colour and condition of the tiles exposed to the sun.... While paint does fade and breakdown over time, 2 years falls far short of the expected lifetime of a quality restoration which is in the neighbourhood of 10+ years... Unfortunately the same person/company did the neighbours roof at the same time and it is in the same condition as this one... Roof restoration and painting can be a fantastic way to maintain and add value to a property... Just make sure it’s done correctly by a quality company... It took a lot of work but we are very happy with how well this roof came up after a quality restoration... The clients can now enjoy 10+ years of a beautifully maintained roof...

10.01.2022 NOT ALL PAINTS ARE CREATED EQUAL Test patches were applied by the owner of this home to get an idea of the colours. Unfortunately no preparation and the incorrect paints used lead to very low levels of adhesion.... Different types of paints are specially formulated for different scenarios. They aren’t just tins of water and plastic. Different bases, Uv stabilisers, binders, pigments and numerous other factors dictate the right product for the particular surface and intended level of use. In this instance the paint had to be stripped from the brick before any further coatings could be applied. When doing colour samples, the best technique is to use separate boards of plaster, ply or MDF. That way there is no risk of applying the wrong product to the surface of your home. Which will save you from any additional cost in preparing and possible removal of the incorrect products.

04.01.2022 The Cowboys are at it again... No not the footy team...... The Coyboys that come to your home and offer roof restorations... These scum of the earth, conmen have a lot to answer for.... Just look around the Gold Coast, there is roofs with failing coatings everywhere.... This should not be the case... Coatings don’t fail in this way when done correctly. There is a plague of dodgy operators, taking good peoples money and damaging their property in return. It should be a crime to do what these people do... Problem is.... it’s not obvious until 2,3,5 years down the track.... Then the cracks start to show.... literally... Heavy discolouration, mould, mildew, peeling paint and brittle cracking tiles are the gifts left for the homeowners to repair... Call them back, get the job fixed... Good luck...cash job, tailgate warranty, new town, new victims.... If your thinking of getting your roof restored/painted... do some research.. Find a trusted company. 04.01.2022 Transformation of Steel and Cement This small letterbox section of rendered wall is a great example of preparation and execution in practice. Cracking render, peeling paint, bare metal and water ingress had left this wall in bad shape.... Extra preparation was required to bring this wall back from the brink of ruble. Then we wrapped it all up with long life coatings to prevent future premature degradation. Having the paint work inspected and maintained sooner would have prevented the need for extra preparation and saved in unnecessary repair costs.
