25.01.2022 The magic of light - oh and some pretty cool scenery too

25.01.2022 Come and join me on my camera course, where you'll learn how to get off Auto!! Maximum of 5 students per course so there will be plenty of one on one time to enhance your skills. Contact me for info.

22.01.2022 With a basic understanding of how your camera works, you too can take photos from a moving car like this one, taken whilst driving through Norway.

22.01.2022 Want to learn how to get off auto on your DSLR? Contact me for course info. In 2 hours you'll be shooting in full manual mode and you'll understand what it all means!

19.01.2022 Dubai has some amazing sunsets. I'd highly recommend shooting in the golden hours of sunset and sunrise to add a little magic to your shots.

19.01.2022 Why colour space matters. Virtually all websites and screens display sRGB, so photos taken in Adobe RGB can look flat if you post them that way. Shooting and working in Adobe RGB gives you more options

17.01.2022 Reflections are just crazy in Norway!

17.01.2022 The desert is truly magical. Should be on everyone's bucket list!

17.01.2022 Can't wait to come back to Norway and I haven't even left yet. Photographers dream. This one a 2 minute exposure captured with a 24-70mm lens.

15.01.2022 Great article on polarising filters. There are only 2 filters I bother carrying - a CP and an ND.

14.01.2022 Quite a lovely sunrise over my balcony this morning :-) I blended a couple of exposures for this one. If you have ever thought about getting a tripod here's an example why!

14.01.2022 I just love reflections and golden hour! A tip on composing - think of your foreground as well. It's often hard when you're excited about the scene in the distance you are shooting.

13.01.2022 It's student challenge time!! One of my favourite loves is taking photos of reflections. This one is of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi taken during the middle of the day. Use what conditions you have and let's see what you can come up with. #getoffauto

13.01.2022 I use as low an ISO as I can when shooting "blue" scenes as blue has the most noticeable noise.

12.01.2022 Seeing some friends run in the #city2surf today reminded me of my last time in Sydney. Magical place!

11.01.2022 It's always great to be in print Thanks get lost Magazine

08.01.2022 I have 2 places left for my Melbourne course on October 2. Learning about shutter speed, aperture, ISO, histogram and composure. Contact me for details

08.01.2022 I miss Darwin skies. Always so photogenic! Shooting in the golden or blue hour never gets tiring.

08.01.2022 Staying on the reflections theme.... This magical place is simply beautiful!

03.01.2022 There are some truly magical places on this planet of ours. I wish those fuelled with hate would only stop for a minute to take notice. Maybe they would see that each and every human is just a blink in the bigger picture and that love and respect are more important than wasting our time otherwise. I'd rather cherish what time I have here.

02.01.2022 Learn to use your DSLR. It's all about controlling the amount of light the camera sees through a combination of shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Each of which has a different effect.
