25.01.2022 Sorry but am now booked out until Feb 2020

24.01.2022 Done up a little entry arbor for a customer today. Will look great when she paints it white.

19.01.2022 The windows all finished and ready for delivery. Learned a lot doing these up and am pretty keen to try making some new ones.

19.01.2022 This old lady at Millmerran coming up a treat

19.01.2022 Booked out until late November now

19.01.2022 Got window 2 glass out today. As you can see it came out in 2 pieces. I was very worried about breaking glass as it was falling apart, glass was nearly falling out of the lead came and it was bowed in 2 directions. I ended up removing it on foam so it would conform to the shape of the glass. It worked and no glass breakages. Now for soldering and reshaping it so its square.

18.01.2022 Now booked out all of September

18.01.2022 So if you are from white pages or any other group trying to sell me something over the phone, please don't call me. I wont buy anything and will waste more of your time than mine.

16.01.2022 Some before, during and after pics of the floors. A lot of damage to the timber floors from previous insect infestation. I didn't think it would come up real good, but looks great with 1 coat. I ended up doing 3 coats of clear as I wasn't happy with the finish. I don't normally do floors, they are damn hard work for an old bloke, but this was satisfying.

13.01.2022 Been a while since I have posted. Its been busy, but things are slowing a bit now so looking for more work to quote on. Here are a few finished pics of the old lady at Millmerran. She came up a treat.

12.01.2022 Recently finished an older Masonite wall rental house. The original colour scheme was interesting. Used a fair whack of top coat and gapping to make her look good and smooth those old walls out, but came up great in the end. Well worth the effort. Some before and after pics.

11.01.2022 First floor I have done in 30 years. Looks good with first coat. 2 or 3 more coats to go

11.01.2022 Sorry but I am not taking any bookings for work until early July at the earliest. I have had family commitments which have put me behind a bit

10.01.2022 Am very busy at the moment. Booked out until the end of August. Sorry for any inconvenience.

09.01.2022 The next job for the Red Lion is to fix these lead-light windows. The timber is shot in most places so I am building new frames. Its my first time building frames and repairing lead-light windows. 1st and 2nd pics are of the old window as it stands now un-repaired. 3rd pic is of the new frame I made today sitting on the original window. Came up really well. 4th pic is of the new frame on the left and the old window on the right. Timbers are doweled and glued into one another ...so its nice and strong. I am using Meranti hard wood as its strong but light compared to other hard woods. I am also using 19mm quad as the inside beading which the lead-light will sit on once repaired. Once in place I will pin the lead-light with glazing pins and put a multi-filler angled edge around the outside. Frame will be undercoated before the window hinges go back on as well. Tomorrow I make the other frame for the window in pic 5 and route out the hinge recesses, chamfer the bottom edge of frame so it sits in the window box nicely and insert the inside bead. See more

09.01.2022 Sorry to say that I do not have any room for new work before new year. Thank you to everyone who has been calling.

09.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that I will no longer be doing lawn mowing or yard maintenance. Thank you to everyone who has used this service in the past.

07.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that I will now be concentrating on house painting and I will only be doing very limited handyman jobs. I am also back full-time in my own business after being laid off because of the Covid19 outbreak.

04.01.2022 Well that was a lot of sanding, gaping and patching but the western wall is finished except for the sheet metal under the wall which we are painting a light grey to match the stumps and wire netting.
