24.01.2022 Our volunteer ambulance driver Stefan has had a busy time reuniting baby birds with their parents!! Healthy baby birds have a much better chance of survival ...when left in their natural environment with their parents. If you find a baby bird, please don’t rescue them unless they are in immediate danger or sick or injured. Please help us keep driving by donating ambulance fuel via our wishlist Head to www.currumbinwildlifehospital.org.au for more! Video thanks to Steve Holland Photography See more

18.01.2022 #GIVINGTUESDAY SIX BABY KOALA JOEYS. ONE MORNING. MEET ASH, CHADWICK, LUCY, DEREK, BRONTE & SHORTCAKEHelp us save baby koala joeys by donating today, www.c...urrumbinwildlifehospital.org.au Giving Tuesday is a global movement & we’d love to bring your attention to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world. This hospital treats, rehabilitates and releases almost 600 koalas per year. Our vet team did an amazing job of managing all koala joeys during their recent health checks. As adorable as these patients are, this is a HUGE task for our vet team. Each koala is very difficult to manage under general anaesthetic and it is high-risk so requires a lot of concentration. Good news is, all koalas are happy & well!! Let’s protect our iconic species Thank you Steve Holland Photography #currumbinwildlifehospital #koala #koalas #wildlife #playgoldcoast #queensland #thisisqueensland #australia #seeaustralia #animalsofinstagram #cute #donate #donatetoday Destination Gold Coast Visit Queensland, Australia Australia.com

15.01.2022 We need your help saving the 250 species that are admitted into Currumbin Wildlife Hospital each year Please join our 2020 Tax Appeal and donate before June 3...0! Donations $2 and above are tax-deductible: www.currumbinwildlifehospital.org.au For those wondering, this is the snake's endotracheal tube, the same as with humans undergoing anaesthesia, the vet staff place a tube into their airway to deliver oxygen and anaesthetic gas. This also allows the vet team to manually ventilate him reptiles dont breathe well under anaesthesia, but with a tube in place they can do that for him so it's no issue Thank you Steve Holland Photography for your amazing photography #snake #wildlife #australia #donate #animals

02.01.2022 Wow Cooper's eyes are incredible!! Cooper is a White-lipped Tree Frog & accidentally found himself stuck in a box of bananasThis is quite common for this sp...ecies which is found in north-east Queensland and Papua New Guinea. Unfortunately he cannot be returned to the wild because we cannot guarantee the exact location he came from, and due to a serious disease called Amphibian Chytrid Fungus Disease (which has decimated populations across the world) we risk introducing chytrid fungus into a clean population in the wild if we place him in the wrong location He will be rehomed to a zoological institution ensuring he has a cosy life providing him with everything he needs.
