25.01.2022 Today's labour. New photo setting 85% done. Thanks to Rick O'Shea for his remote tech support, my neighbor Paul for telling me (rightly so) that I was doing it wrong and for lending tools. Shoutout to my other neighbour Jamie Croydon for bringing in the big guns for the digging and to Linda Harrington for the old sleepers. Team work makes the dream work! #bestneighbors

20.01.2022 Yesterday we hosted our first wedding ceremony. Bec, Keith and their respective friends and family were a delight to spend time with. I think everyone had an enjoyable and relaxed experienced in our Country Lane Setting. Officiated by celebrant Karen Stringfellow I also wanted to give a shoutout to Rogue Make-up and Di's Hair Design. Thank-you ladies for your professionalism. Without your skills it is just a scruffy party :D... In addition - huge thanks to my neighborhood for helping me get from point A to B. Rick for the amazing wedding aisle and Arbors, Carlie for gates, inspiration and equipment, Paul for knowledge, tools and time and Donna for animal management during the ceremony. I am lucky to have your support! So now we reset the clock. The countdown is on to complete more of the space, lock in hand picked suppliers and have a fully functional wedding space for 2021. Baby steps. But we got this! Country Lane Celebrations - perfect for couples that want a relaxed wedding day experience with a focus on time with family and friends. 16.01.2022 A couple weeks back I spent a few days tearing down the fencing and verandah on an old Queenslander on the North side of Brisbane that is being renovated. Time to put all those materials to use! This weekend was all about infrastructure for photo settings. With spring around the corner it is time to put some plants in the ground to bring these vignettes to life!

13.01.2022 Flik and Matt were married during recent storms that produced multiple hail and strong wind fronts. Thanks to the incredibly experienced staff at Tamborine Gardens Wedding and Function Resort, the weather only added to the great vibe and atmosphere. Shoutout to Rebecca Kesby Marriage Celebrant for a lovely ceremony! It is always a treat for me to work with another member of the Tamborine Mountain Wedding Group... 12.01.2022 I do love black and white images. When I first began shooting professionally I had branded myself as a Black and White photographer who did not shoot weddings. Luckily that did not go to plan because I love my colorful wedding portraits, however, I do love black and white images!

10.01.2022 Jane & Michael slaying the monster that has been 2020. Married in a lovely church ceremony in Brisbane, Mt Cootha gardens played host to the bridal party and family for photographs. 08.01.2022 Jess and Mitch were married at Mudgeeraba Showgrounds on the Gold Coast. With multiple venue changes due to Covid, they were so happy to finally call each other husband and wife. 06.01.2022 Quite a varied weekend. Family portraits with lovely long time clients and now friends the very Rock and Roll Cochrane crew. Country Lane Celebrations continues to take shape. I have been chasing one of these round tree bench seats forever. They are just beautiful! Scored this one on Market Place and went for a short road trip with my son Charlie to collect it and also a beautiful timber bed head that will become our Welcome sign.... I also got rid of a water tank to make way for a small garden at the wedding ceremony arbour. My daughter Iris and I threw up a small run of fencing for a new photo set I am developing. It is going to be a real humdinger for late afternoon light. The fountain is now flowing down at our more Grecian looking set. It is next on the DIY makeover hitlist along with a small country shack clan McMarson and lots of borrowed knowledge and relocated materials will build as a family project. Designed for photos, it is going to be another amazing location for couples getting married here on our property. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Xx
