22.01.2022 Yes, you can still get tickets folks ! Tomorrow night at the Wheatsheaf Hotel 8pm. We'll be launching 'In The Lighter Dark'. A tribute to my lighthouse keeping family folk. It's been a labour of love and a couple of years in the making.... I've been blessed to be aided and abetted all the way by the wonderful Jen Lush and now it's time to float the boat. Along with a beautiful band of musical souls in Paul Angas, Paul Cooper, Paul Gooding, Greg (Paul) Blanch and Mark (Paul) Seddon We'll be casting off and setting sail...and as if that wasn't enough Ryan Martin John will gather us all up with his gorgeous tunes and get the show in the road. 13.01.2022 I'm a bit thingo about doing solo gigs but yesterday I thought that I'd give it a burl ! The gig itself was acceptable and then afterward I had the pleasure of experiencing one of my very favourite things in the whole world. The random unsolicited advice gig punter ! He said that he'd been listening to me and he needed to point some things out to me. ( Personally I thought that he was confusing need with want ) Good'o, do tell ! It turns out that apparently I don't ...sing my own songs with the same gusto as the songs I sing that are written by other people but my guitar playing is "adequate" for the "kind of thing" that I do. Well I'm glad that we cleared those things up ! Thank you random unsolicited advice gig punter ! Henceforth I shall endeavour to sing my own songs with more gusto and as soon as I figure out what "kind of thing" it is that I'm doing I shall do it as adequately as I possibly can. It’s been a while between Pony drinks with you and the drought continues for a little longer while we work out how to bring you the ...best of local (and one day interstate!) music again. We have had a year of close family health challenges as well as the whole Covid restrictions which has made it difficult to keep going in the way we used to. But we will be back for your listening pleasure soon, stay tuned. Til then, we will bring more of the bands and music artists that would have graced our stage this year. In June Steve Lennox was going to launch his new album In The Lighter Dark with Ryan Martin John opening the show until the restrictions put it on hold.
