17.01.2022 Xlendi, Gozo, Malta. Xlendi is a small village located in the Southwest of Gozo, in the Maltese Islands. Once a small fishing village, this bay, flanked by high cliffs attracts considerable crowds throughout the whole year. A 17th century tower rises on top of the high cliffs, adding to charm of the place. #xlendi #gozo #malta #visitmalta #visitgozo #wanderlust #travelphotography VisitGozo.com VisitMalta

16.01.2022 Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), Northern Territory. Kata Tjuta means ‘many heads’ in the local Aboriginal language. Kata Tjuta is a collection of large domed rock formations that jut out of the arid landscape to the southwest of Alice Springs. Together with Uluru, they make up the two most popular landmarks in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, which is considered to be a sacred site to the Aboriginal people of Australia. There are actually 36 domes, all boasting different shapes an...d sizes that make up the Kata Tjuta with Mount Olga being the highest point at 1,066 metres. At one point in time, it is thought the structure was all joined together in one large piece of rock just like Uluru that had been weathered and worn down over millions and millions of years. The Olgas can be found 35 kilometres west of Uluru and are made of a slightly different rock type than their more famous neighbour. Another bucket list destination. #katatjuta #yulara #uluru #ulurukatatjutanationalpark #northernterritory #australia #wanderlust #travelphotography #tourismnt Tourism NT Northern Territory Australia Australia.com

It was built by the British between 1839 and 1843 to transport water from Gar Ilma in the limits of Kerem to the capital Victoria. #gozo #malta #aqueduct #ruins #wanderlust #travelphotography #visitgozo #visitmalta VisitMalta

11.01.2022 Larapinta otherwise known as Finke River at Glen Helen, Northern Territory, Australia. Larapinta means "Serpent" in the local Arrernte indigenous language, Glen Helen Gorge is just around a slight bend from where this image was captured & is called "Yapalpe" in the same language. The western Arrernte people, have lived in the Glen Helen region for tens of thousands of years. The geology of Glen Helen Gorge dates its origins to around 500 million years ago when sandstone was d...eposited by a vast inland sea. Over time this sandstone was tilted and uplifted and metamorphosed into Quartzite. Over millennia the mighty Finke River carved its way through the uplifted mountain range as it cut a path across the desert to Lake Eyre. #glenhelen #yapalpe #finkeriver #larapinta #glenhelengorge #northernterritory #australia #tourismnt #wanderlust #travelphotography Tourism NT Australia.com

10.01.2022 Maranboy: The Haunting. The old hospital at Maranboy, Northern Territory, Australia. Maranboy was once a mining town, the biggest Tin mine in Australia at one stage. It is now a ghost town literally with many strange experiences occurring over a number of years and even when this photo was taken there was something going on. #maranboy #northernterritory #australia #katherine #topend #barunga #tourismnt #tourismtopend Tourism Top End Tourism NT Australia.com

03.01.2022 The Hangman’s Bridge (Henkersteg) is a special bridge in the historic German city of Nuremberg (Nuernberg) and was constructed in 1457 as a wooden bridge. Between the 16th and the 19th century, every city used to have their hang man, and the one from Nuremberg lived in the tower and the roofed walk above the German river Pegnitz. After the flood of 1595, three arches of the town wall bridging the southern arm of the river Pegnitz were demolished and replaced by the wooden Han...gman’s Bridge with its tiled roof (reconstructed in 1954). The executioner had to live in segregated accommodation within the city, since his trade was considered dishonest. Up until the Age of Enlightenment, citizens avoided any physical contact with the hangman, in order not to be excluded from the Christian community. #nuremberg #germany #altstadtnuremberg #henkersteg #hangmanbridge #wanderlust #travelphotography #visitgermany #visitbavaria Visit Germany Visit Bavaria VisitNuernberg

02.01.2022 I'm enjoying the learning experience of the star & planet movements that these images capture & not normally picked up by the human eye. As you can see depending on the position of camera, movement of the globe etc you can end up with varying degrees of star trails, angles & curves. Each image takes an average minimum 30 minutes capture through locked open lens then the camera itself take the equivalent or more just to process what it captures & then writes to storage card,... so I spend a lot of time sitting in the dark in very remote places Other variables are always against you including wind, clouds, to much light, unexpected light, not enough light etc. Any movement of the camera over the time the lens is locked open will result in blurred images. I hope you like this shot of Edith Falls, Northern Territory, Australia as it's not always something the elements of nature allow #edithfalls #northernterritory #australia #startrails #travelphotography #wanderlust #tourismnt #tourismtopend Tourism Top End Northern Territory Australia

02.01.2022 Just a quick snap of one of Australia's biggest & best monoliths, Uluru. Uluru, or Ayers Rock, is a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid "Red Centre". The nearest large town is Alice Springs, 450km away. Uluru is sacred to Indigenous Australians in this region and is thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago. Put it on the bucket list because once you are here standing right in front of it you will feel something special. #uluru #northernterritory #australia #ulurukatatjutanationalpark #ayersrock #wanderlust #travelphotography #tourismnt Tourism NT Australia.com Parks Australia Northern Territory Australia

01.01.2022 Marsaxlokk, Malta. Marsaxlokk fishing village is the largest fishing harbour of Malta. It has been so since antiquity and today the greater part of fish sold on the islands are caught by fishermen coming from this village. Traditional luzzu’s and larger fishing vessels line the sheltered harbour in a colourful display. #malta #marsaxlokk #fishingvillage #wanderlust #travelphotography #visitmalta VisitMalta
