19.01.2022 Hi everyone, I will be heading out to Chinchilla later next week around the 26th to do Mc training with my Bdouble, it will probably be the last time this year I will be out that way with the truck. I will be training up until Christmas in Brisbane and possibly between Christmas and New year if you are interested. Test dates in Brisbane are booked out until January for Hr and Hc. 07.01.2022 These are a handy guage if your truck has one. A lot of older Mack trucks did, The Freightliner had them for a while not sure if they still do. They were handy for showing when your brakes needed an adjustment.

03.01.2022 If you are doing any training with a Roadranger gearbox, please think about the following, after 1 year of holding any class of licence you can become a trainer....with no experience Make sure you are taught to skip up and down gears, from the start, not at the end of your training. Use all the gears, not just the top 5, every gear you change is practice, up and down, you shouldn't be learning to pass a test, you are learning to drive PROPERLY, so you can stay alive. In... 14 years I have taught 4 people out of literally hundreds who passed a test with less than 4 hours training( never driven), most are around 8 to 10. Lessons under 2 hours leave you with very little to take in. If your trainer can't teach you how to skip gears, different techniques to learn etc ask them about their driving experience. Price doesn't mean better or worse training, the size of the school or organisation doesn't mean quality. Stay safe and be taught correctly. Cheers Steve See more
