Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia: 1 in 7 Australian women and 1 in 675 Australian men are expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime. Incidence of breast cancer has risen, however, so too has the five year survival rate, increasing from 76% in 1994 to 91% in 2020. The NBCF has helped fund the vital research required to gain a better understanding of breast cancer and is committed to help reach the goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
