11.04.2022 The Gift My day just did a 180turn around. Watching a blind/deaf man explore every curve on my car. I asked permission to video him before I started. I had... walked away to try and find lunch but the lines were too long at the food trucks and I didn't want to leave the car unattended that long. As I started back to the car I saw a guy sliding his hands all over my car and I picked up the pace to interrupt it. As I got closer I noticed the dog in the harness and put 2 and 2 together which totally turned this in a completely different direction. I can't imagine going to a car show as a blind person. In this situation it's more than okay to touch. I can wipe it down. We take for granted our sight and hearing. Strolling through a car show maybe devoting 2 minutes or less to view each car. This took so much more effort for him to "see" a car with his hands. I was feeling a bit down till this AMAZING gentleman came by. This was such a blessing to me. My problems are nothing compared to what he must navigate on a daily basis. I truly needed this today. Grateful and humbled. Update-My son pointed out in the video that I'm saying "he's blind" 2 times at the beginning of the video. I'm responding to a man who was loosing his mind over the guy touching my car (which you probably don't hear in the background).
