25.01.2022 I went to Soldiers Beach at low tide yesterday to get the Sanderlings which would be a lifer and see the Great Knot. We couldn't get out to the rock shelf so Daniel and I went to Norah Head lighthouse to see what turned up. We couldn't turn the Red-necked Stints into Sanderlings, try as we might and the pair of Sooty Oystercatchers gave us a great view.

22.01.2022 I went to Frazer Park Monday searching for the Brahminy Kite with no joy. I did find a Nankeen Night-Heron and a Little Black Cormorant at Budgewoi Creek.

19.01.2022 Curlew Sandpipers and Ruddy Turnstones were also on the Soldier's Beach rock platform on Thursday 1st Oct with the terns.

19.01.2022 More White-cheeked Honeyeaters and a Little Wattlebird on Xanthorrhoea's with a distant Eastern Osprey who landed on the tower thrown in for good measure.

12.01.2022 I went out to Soldiers Beach rock platform hunting for waders yesterday. I had heard common terns were there among others but there were also smaller Little Terns that look similar but a lot smaller. All well and good until I look at close ups of one species and loose size reference.

04.01.2022 The immature White-bellied Sea-Eagle was doing well it had plucked the first Little Penguin I have ever seen this far north out the surf at Munmorah SRA but an attack from an adult from above resulted in the crabs winning the battle in the end.

01.01.2022 I spent the morning staking out some Xanthorrhoea's for Honeyeater visitors at San Remo. Here's an obliging White-cheeked Honeyeater
