24.01.2022 Starting out as a warehouse assistant, its been a pleasure seeing Nikki grow and mature over the years. As the SE warehouse Team Leader, her responsibilities are the day to day operations of the warehouse activities. A well respected and diligent staff member. Congratulations on seven years of service with S&H #workerbee #workanniversary #shcc

24.01.2022 As part of World volunteer week, today is wear orange Wednesday, and our friends at Victoria State Emergency Service wear it well. 24.01.2022 Australian war correspondent Charles Bean landed with the Australian troops on Gallipoli on April 25, 1915. He stayed with them at the front through the entire war, refusing evacuation even when he was wounded. At Pozieres the following year he was witness to 23,000 Australian casualties in just six weeks. A dying Australian asked him, Will they remember me in Australia?". Today, 11th November is Remembrance Day. At 11am, for 1 min, let’s stop what we are doing, turn our phones off and observe that 1 minute of silence to pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are still serving in our defence forces and remember those who have died or suffered in conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations. #WeRememberThem

21.01.2022 After 42 years in the Apparel Industry ( long enough to bring any person to their knees) with arguably only two employers Maverick (Mav) Spiteri is retiring from S&H today. We have been privileged to have Mav as part of our team for the last 6 years. He will be sorely missed for his contribution to the business and his unflappable persona- always the voice of reason. Enjoy retirement my friend, we are all very jealous. You know where to find us when you get bored. All the best from your friends at S&H #shcc #retirement #permenantholiday

By giving thousands of research bees a place to call home they are also supporting the essential role bees play in pollinating native plants in our Australian ecosystem and keeping the planet healthy. Fun Fact- today is also the birth date of Anton Jana (17341773), a Slovenian beekeeper, the pioneer of modern beekeeping and one of the greatest authorities on the subject of bees. #greatwork #shcc #beeinnovative #bees #worldbeeday #ausgrid

05.01.2022 Who doesn’t enjoy a nice fresh peach from the tree!! Today the staff at the S&H Adelaide branch got to enjoy the fruit of their labour. They have been growing a peach tree for the past four years. Our strikingly green thumbed employee Joe was the brains behind this venture and planted the peach tree in the S&H staff carpark. Jake agrees it was a ripper of an idea. They are so sweet & juicy.... The question is can you eat them with the skin and fur on or do they need peeling? Either way, everyone agreed they are delicious.

05.01.2022 World Cancer Day: A leading international awareness day World Cancer Day is held every February 4th and is the global uniting initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). By raising worldwide awareness, improving education, and catalysing personal, collective and government action, working together to reimagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all - no matter ...who you are or where you live. Created in 2000, World Cancer Day has grown into a positive movement for everyone, everywhere to unite under one voice to face one of our greatest challenges in history. Each year, hundreds of activities and events take place around the world, gathering communities, organisations and individuals in schools, businesses, hospitals, marketplaces, parks, community halls, places of worship - in the streets and online - acting as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in reducing the global impact of cancer. This year's World Cancer Day's theme, 'I Am, and I Will', is all about you and your commitment to act. The UICC believe that through our positive actions, together we can reach the target of reducing the number of premature deaths from cancer and noncommunicable diseases by one third by 2030. Join us on February 4th and speak out and stand up for a cancer-free world. Our time to act is now. Photo and information credit - * https://www.worldcancerday.org/* See more
