24.01.2022 Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we will receive. Simply because if we do not desire, we will be closed to receiving. "I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your neighbours always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it. I am giving you three ways of exerci...sing mercy toward your neighbour: the first by deed, the second by word, the third by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy (Diary, 742). "Many souls are often worried because they do not have the material means with which to carry out an act of mercy. Yet spiritual mercy, which requires neither permissions nor storehouses, is much more meritorious and is within the grasp of every soul. If a soul does not exercise mercy somehow or other, it will not obtain My mercy on the day of judgment. Oh, if only souls knew how to gather eternal treasure for themselves, they would not be judged, for they would forestall My judgment with their mercy" (1317).

21.01.2022 Pope Francis’s desire is to cleanse his Church of luxury. He shows intense empathy for the poor, the unemployed and struggling economic migrants. He expects the rest of the Catholic Church to follow his example.

20.01.2022 The Pompeii Novena (Rosary) Testimonials & Miracles: Finding love and peace of mind. I learned about the Pompeii Novena 5 years ago from my cousin. Honestly, I did not know then that prayer is so effective and Our Lady will listen to everyone who prays with it, and I took a risk and decided to say it. I said it every day and tried very hard not to give up, although at the time it seemed to me that I might not cope with this "challenge" because I had never prayed so much befor...e. My intention then was to "feel love" I prayed to fall in love with someone. I did not pray for reciprocity, so I got what I wanted, I fell in love with a boy for whom the feeling was so strong that maybe even to this day it persists. However, I thought then that I would never tell him, I guess I was not mature and I was "ashamed" to tell someone that I had such feelings. Later, I prayed for love and to be with someone, maybe even like the boy I was in love with all the time, I also got what I asked for, but I could not appreciate it because I lost my own feelings. Honestly speaking, now, in retrospect, I understand that I had wrong intentions for Our Lady, but I always got what I asked for! Our Lady never fails, she never leaves us alone, but it is important what we ask for, how we formulate our intentions! Now I have decided to return to the novena after a few years of "more mature" and I am trying to formulate my intentions well - I am asking for love, but also for what is important in life, that is peace of mind. I had a difficult time in my life, but the most important thing is not to give up and trust God, he always knows what is good for us. I know that it may be a hard time for me now when I am going to pray, but I do not want to give up, I want to believe and trust God. And to all who are thinking about starting a novena, all I can say is believe, and you will see faith works miracles. God bless! (Pauline) See more

16.01.2022 Daily Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate Heart of Mary: Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, I Consecrate my entire self to the Most Holy Love of Your Two Hearts. I Wish to make reparation for all the sins of the world, including my own. I offer these things for the love of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. I will keep my mind on beauty and turn my thoughts from evil things. I will not show off, but remain humble. I will offer up all my sufferin...gs, sickness and hurts. I will seek God’s Will, not my own. I will show appreciation for the kindness, the blessings that i receive, from God for all things. I will do everything in my life for love of God. And I will love others, as God has loved me. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the Intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, receive the offering and consecration I now make of myself to You. Keep me faithful unto death. Bring me one day to the Happy Home in Heaven. I desire to live forever with God the Father and the Most Holy Spirit and You my Jesus, together with Your Most Immaculate Mother. Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, please protect us. Amen. See more

14.01.2022 Saints & Their Incredible Lives: John Paul II confessed to a homeless Polish priest who abandoned his priesthood and became a beggar in the streets of Rome. This event shocked the prodigal priest so much that he changed his life and served as a hospital chaplain until the end.

13.01.2022 Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you, all things will pass away. God never changes; patience obtains all things,... whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices. Amen. Prayer by St Teresa of Avila

12.01.2022 Prayer To Ask Mary To Welcome You To Her Womb And To Heal All Wounds: Mary Immaculate, accept me today, consciously I want to express it and ask you to welcome me in your womb and every day I ask you to restore me, take from heaven all the graces and blessings that you asked for your Son Jesus. Mary, heal my wounds every day for 9 months. When you were in your mother’s womb, as a baby you were exposed to everything she experienced. This includes the sounds in the environment,... the air she breathed, the food she ate and the emotions she felt. When she was happy and calm, it allowed you to develop in a happy, calm environment. However, emotions like stress and anxiety negatively affect baby’s developing body and brain. Babies are able to remember certain things from the womb after they are born. Pray this short prayer for 9 months and ask Blessed Virgin Mary to welcome you to her womb and to heal all wounds. See more

11.01.2022 "In the life of holiness, there are moments of profound obscurity when one must be buried like the seed that falls to the ground to die. . . When many years ago, a poor sick friar, Padre Pio, came to the monastery of Our Lady of Grace in San Giovanni Rotondo, he came only to make contact with God and to live in His presence. It is written in the Gospel, You do not light a lantern to put it under a bushel. And Jesus did not light a little lantern in Padre Pio, he kindled a bright sun, which was to give so much light, so much warmth to the whole world." - Father Peter Tartaglia

11.01.2022 I am love and mercy itself. ... Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. ... My mercy is greater than your sins, and those of the entire world. ... I let My Sacred Heart be pierced with a lance, thus opening wide the source of mercy for you. Come then with trust to draw graces from this fountain. ... The graces of My mercy are drawn by the means of one vessel only, and that is trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive.... My daugh...ter, look into My Merciful Heart and reflect its compassion in your own heart, and in your deeds, so that you who proclaim My mercy to the world may yourself be aflame with it.... Let the greatest sinners place their trust in My mercy. They have the right before others to trust in the abyss of My mercy. ... Souls that make an appeal to My mercy delight Me. To such souls I grant even more graces than they ask... All grace flows from mercy ... even if a person's sins were as dark as night, God's mercy is stronger than our misery. One thing alone is necessary: that the sinner set ajar the door of his heart, be it ever so little, to let in a ray of God's merciful grace, and then God will do the rest. Diary of St. Faustina (1074, 699, 1485, 1578, 1146, 1507)

07.01.2022 Readings at Mass, Friday 16 October 2020, Friday of week 28 in Ordinary Time First reading Ephesians 1:11-14 You have been stamped with the seal of the Holy Spirit... It is in Christ that we were claimed as God’s own, chosen from the beginning, under the predetermined plan of the one who guides all things as he decides by his own will; chosen to be, for his greater glory, the people who would put their hopes in Christ before he came. Now you too, in him, have heard the message of the truth and the good news of your salvation, and have believed it; and you too have been stamped with the seal of the Holy Spirit of the Promise, the pledge of our inheritance which brings freedom for those whom God has taken for his own, to make his glory praised. Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 32(33):1-2,4-5,12-13 Happy the people the Lord has chosen as his own. Ring out your joy to the Lord, O you just; for praise is fitting for loyal hearts. Give thanks to the Lord upon the harp, with a ten-stringed lute sing him songs. Happy the people the Lord has chosen as his own. For the word of the Lord is faithful and all his works to be trusted. The Lord loves justice and right and fills the earth with his love. Happy the people the Lord has chosen as his own. They are happy, whose God is the Lord, the people he has chosen as his own. From the heavens the Lord looks forth, he sees all the children of men. Happy the people the Lord has chosen as his own. Gospel Acclamation Ps32:22 Alleluia, alleluia! Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you. Alleluia! Gospel Luke 12:1-7 Not one sparrow is forgotten in God's sight The people had gathered in their thousands so that they were treading on one another. And Jesus began to speak, first of all to his disciples. ‘Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees that is, their hypocrisy. Everything that is now covered will be uncovered, and everything now hidden will be made clear. For this reason, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in hidden places will be proclaimed on the housetops. ‘To you my friends I say: Do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. I will tell you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has the power to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Can you not buy five sparrows for two pennies? And yet not one is forgotten in God’s sight. Why, every hair on your head has been counted. There is no need to be afraid: you are worth more than hundreds of sparrows.’

07.01.2022 The Pompeii Novena (Rosary) Testimonials & Miracles: Tangible signs of Mary's presence. When I wasn't working, I had more time and I prayed the Pompeii Novena regularly for various intentions, including for finding a good job, for the miracle of conceiving our child, for the souls suffering in Purgatory, etc., now that I have been working for over 2 months, I do not say the novena, but every day I pray one mystery of the Rosary for souls in Purgatory and every day I am asking... my beloved Mother to intercede with her Son for the gift of natural conception of our long-awaited baby. I must admit that the Mother of God "surprised me" - of course, very positively and I owe her to write a testimony to show others that Mother is watching over us and asking her Son for the favours we need at the right time. As I wrote recently, it is Mary's merit that I found a job - I was shocked that everything went so well despite the fact that my CV was one of many and despite the fact that there were a lot of candidates for this position and mine according to my employer, the CV was rejected at first glance - I got a job; Moreover, after 2 months my boss promoted me to a manager; some things started to go very well for me and my boss repeatedly told me that I was the right person in the right place he repeated several times that he is satisfied with my work - I know 1000% that it is Mary's merit, that it is the Mother who shows me that I am not indifferent to her and her son, it is a great feeling when I feel so "tangible" presence of Mary ... I am very grateful to you, My Mother Mary, for all these graces and miracles in my life, I know that if it were not for you, I would not have what I have and would not be who I am ... I love you with all my heart and I am very grateful to You Thank you for everything you do for me and my family ... See more

06.01.2022 Father Julio Lancellotti was caught by surprise on Oct. 10 when Pope Francis personally called him asking about his work with the homeless. Fr. Julio has received threats many times over his work among the poor, as well as the fight against corruption and drug trafficking. "I will continue to do my work and do as the pope requested: 'Live as Jesus did, always being close to the poor.'"

05.01.2022 Prayer To Our Lady Of Grace: O heavenly treasurer of all graces, Mother of God and my mother Mary, since you are the first-born daughter of the Eternal Father and hold in your hands his omnipotence, be moved to pity my soul and grant me the graces which I fervently ask of you. Hail Mary O merciful dispenser of divine graces, Mary most holy, mother of the Eternal incarnate Word who has crowned you with his immense wisdom, look upon the greatness of my sorrow and grant me the g...races I need so much. Hail Mary O most loving dispenser of divine graces, immaculate Spouse of the Eternal Holy Spirit, most holy Mary, who have received from him a heart which is moved to pity by human misfortunes and which is constrained to offer consolation to those who suffer, be moved to pity my soul and grant me whose graces which I await from you with full confidence in your immense goodness. Hail Mary O my mother, treasurer of all graces, refuge of poor sinners, consolation of the afflicted, hope of those who despair and most powerful help of Christians, I places all my confidence in you, being sure that you will obtain for me from Jesus the graces which I so much desire, if they are good for my soul. Hail Mary Saint Padre Pio prayed daily to Our Lady of Grace.

04.01.2022 Message from Archbishop Patrick O'Regan DD: Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020 Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, Grace and peace I hope that this note finds you well.... I would like to take a little of your time to speak of a very important issue that you may not be fully aware of and which requires urgent action on the part of our Catholic community. A Bill entitled Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020 is now before the SA Legislative Council, and it is the intention of the Deputy Premier that it be passed by both Houses of Parliament before the end of the year. Unlike the current legislation, this Bill allows for abortion up until birth. There is no protection for a viable baby who would otherwise be delivered alive, other than requiring the consent of two doctors. At a time when babies delivered from around 22 weeks have a very high chance of survival and enormous resources are rightfully put into their care, it is hard to fathom how anyone could justify late-term abortions. To legislate for abortions up until birth shows a total disregard for the rights, and future, of the unborn child. It sends a disturbing message to the community about the value of some lives over others. The Bill also allows abortions up to 22 weeks to be carried out with the consent of only one medical practitioner, including via tele-medicine in regional areas. There are concerns this will make vulnerable women more susceptible to social and economic coercion and compromise women’s health. I strongly encourage you to contact your local MP, urging them to use their conscience vote to reject this ill-conceived Bill. The first and most important duty of the Parliament is to protect the life of its citizens. We need to remind them of this. As followers of Christ, we are called to offer our deepest compassion for women struggling with such a difficult decision and to offer our ongoing support to them. However, we believe life to be a gift of God, to be cherished and revered, at every stage of life. At moments such as these, Jesus’ words, I have come that you might have life and have it to the full echo in our hearts. (John 10:10) Please join me in praying for the defeat of this Bill. With renewed thanks and asking God’s continued blessing for you and your communities. In Domino, Patrick O'Regan Archbishop of Adelaide

02.01.2022 St. Teresa of Avila, despite her father's opposition, decided to become a nun, entering a Carmelite convent in 1535, and taking her vows two years later. The convent she entered at the time was not a model of religious observance, having a widespread reputation for lax discipline. Inadequate funds forced many of the nuns to spend part of each year visiting their families. To make ends meet, too, the sisters admitted into their orders women from wealthy families in the vicinit...y, some of whom lacked a sense of vocation. Many of the women in the convent entertained men and indulged a taste for luxurious living. St. Teresa of Avila led a major reform that redoubled the nuns’ vow of poverty and their focus on prayer and purity (the reforms also abolished separate residences and lifestyles for nuns from rich and poor families). Likewise, many orders started opening hospitals and orphanages in the cities that provided care for both the sick and the poor and indigent. See more

02.01.2022 The Secret of Happiness - The Fifteen Prayers Revealed by Our Lord to St. Bridget in the Church of St. Paul at Rome. As St. Bridget for a long time wanted to know the number of blows Our Lord received during His Passion, He one day appeared to her and said: ‘I received 5480 blows on My Body. If you wish to honor them in some way, say 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Marys with the following Prayers (which He taught her) for a whole year. When the year is up, you will have honored e...Continue reading

02.01.2022 Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. They bear witness to this responsibility first by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, fidelity, and disinterested service are the rule. The home is well suited for education in the virtues. This requires an apprenticeship in self-denial, sound judgment, and self-mastery - the preconditions of all true freedom. Parents should teach their children to subordinate the "material and instinctual dimensions to interior and spiritual ones." Parents have a grave responsibility to give good example to their children. By knowing how to acknowledge their own failings to their children, parents will be better able to guide and correct them (CCC 2223)
