25.01.2022 We want to thank our two principals for being such a huge support throughout the planning of the St Francis Xavier Parish Family Fair. Our children are so blessed to have such wonderful and caring leaders at the primary schools within the St Francis Xavier Parish Montmorency. (Vince Bumpstead Principal of Holy Trinity Primary School Eltham North is on the Left and Mark Workman Principal of St Francis Xavier Primary School Montmorency on the Right)

24.01.2022 We need you! Did you love the event yesterday? Well come on down this morning from 9 and help us get the school back into shape for the kiddies. Many hands make light work so we’d love if lots of SFX and HT parents could come and help.

24.01.2022 AMAZING ACTIVITIES // A huge thank-you to these lovely ladies that put the Arts & Crafts room and Cupcake Decorating fun together. These SFX mums Stella Cifone & Leanne Giardina have worked so hard on the Fete Committee for the past two years and they do a smashing job (*photos of the children were taken with signed permission from the parent/guardian)

23.01.2022 How fabulous was the cake stall this year! We are so grateful to Natasha Davis who stepped in last year to continue the long standing tradition of this stall to keep it running for years to come and with so many months of hard work and planning she did an amazing job

22.01.2022 MARKET STALL / A big thanks to one of our talented HT mums Nola Linnane for making and donating these gorgeous items to go on one of our Parish run stalls. 100% of all sales will be donated to the Parish.

21.01.2022 Thanks to the amazing team of people here this morning setting everything up! When we had to move the setup from last night until this morning everyone still arrived with a great attitude to get the job done. We have such a special community of wonderful parents plus we owe a huge amount to Steve Hamilton who is heading up our setup crew and has everything running like clockwork

21.01.2022 How good were the Boss Bar Hire team keeping the bar going until the end! We loved having the Hack Brewing Co. on tap - an amazing local Monty brew!! If your having a party definitely get the Boss Bar team in, they are phenomenal

19.01.2022 MARKET SQUARE - We have some very talented Parishioners that make and donate items (and having been doing so for 20+ years - wow what an effort). We have a brilliant plant stall, crochet and wooden toys where 100% of all sales go towards the Parish. Keep a look out for these signs

18.01.2022 FIREBALL TENNIS // Make sure you head down to the tennis courts to have some tennis fun with Gareth and the wonderful Fireball Tennis team. They will be offering free lessons to all attendee's at our Family Fair plus they’ll also have a stand in the Market Square so pop past and say hi.

18.01.2022 MARKET SQUARE // There is a fabulous raffle in the Market Square - a huge thanks to Were St Trading who donated a beautiful Ecoya hamper along with all the other Market Stall stall holders that donated prizes. Come in and grab some raffle tickets

18.01.2022 SNEAK PEAK 'Lolly Stall' - Make sure you visit the Lolly Stall which will be up on the top yard - we have Lolly Jars, Lolly Bags and you even have a chance to win one of our hidden Golden Tickets!!! Plus a gigantic guess-how-many snakes in the jungle competition. A massive thanks to Julia Mullins, Debbie Black, Katie Harley and Jacqui Johnston for all of their ideas and hard work - the kids are going to love this

17.01.2022 LEGO FANS // Get ready for something special in the Lego Room - the Vander Family have knocked this out of the park!!!! This is a must see attraction at this year’s Family Fair - down on the basketball courts come and enjoy. There may even be a couple of spots left for our live Lego building competition that is being run every 30mins from 4pm

16.01.2022 We have nearly wrapped up our thank-you posts from the event his year but we couldn't pass up one dedicated to the amazing Scott Carne - he was soooo good and rocked the night away with his brilliant band! Have no idea how we are going to top this next year

15.01.2022 PLANT STALL // The plants have arrived and they are spectacular Get in quick we have a feeling these are going to sell out - located outside the hall. A massive thanks to the parishioners that have donated all these plants for us we are so grateful

15.01.2022 How fabulous was it to have Fr Terry make a surprise appearance at the Family Fair. As he is still recovering from his heart surgery we didn’t think he’d be able to make it this year. He is the heart of our wonderful Parish and seeing his smiling face made the day extra special.

14.01.2022 MARKET SQUARE // The St Francis Xavier Parish Family Fair is gaining so much attention we've got some extra market stalls that we've been able to squeeze in! We are thrilled to welcome Poppysmack traditional sauces with flavours like Salty Sweet Satay, Caramelised Pineapple, Tangy Tamarind, Vietnamese, Dipping Sauce, Siam Chilli Sambal - we know these are going to be flying out the door!!

14.01.2022 MAGIC SHOW MAYHEM // The room was filled with giggles and smiles watching The Amazing Danny magic show. A huge thank-you to our HT mum superstar Lisa Nassios who made this space come to life plus did such a wonderful job on the Family Fair committee all year. 13.01.2022 A huge amount of thanks to our brilliant teachers that worked with us on the committee this year Angela Scarcella and Barbara Johnson from SFX plus Michael Upton and Sarah McConnell from HT. They have been absolutely brilliant and so generous with their time all year. Thanks heaps to all the wonderful staff from both schools that helped in the lead up and on the day - we couldn’t do it without all of your help.

09.01.2022 FABULOUS FOOD // How lucky are we to have such wonderful and talented parents that put on such an amazing range of food at the St Francis Xavier Parish Family Fair This doesn't happen without lots of hard work and we have a few thank-yous: - Kimberley Nailer and her fab sister Sasha (our food creatives) you guys are brilliant and we are so lucky to have you both. - Madeline Martin and Marcelle Stanton who not only helped prep the food all week in the lead up but also steppe...d in to run the food stall on the day. - The brilliant team of SFX mums that helped out all week leading up to the fete and on the day Amy Dallas Riva, Julia Mullins, Dani Williams. - Our HT super team that came back again this year and were absolutely wonderful, a huge thank-you to Paul Lazzarotta and the Works & Maintenance team. - All the volunteers that did shifts on the day, it wouldn't be possible without you! 07.01.2022 SNEAK PEAK - Lego Room // This is a must see for tomorrow’s event!! We are blown away by the amazing job Sue and Andrew Vander have done in this space - it is a kids paradise. A big shout out to the Vander kids too as we know they’ve been helping as well. Lego Building, Colouring, models to look at - there is something for everyone. 07.01.2022 GOURMET FOOD // We are so lucky to have the amazing Kimberley Nailer (and her superstar sister who flies down from interstate to help!!!) who have been working for months and months designing up the gourmet food menu for the second year running! They work tirelessly for the St Francis Xavier Parish Family Fair and we really are incredibly lucky. Here's a sneak peak of the menu so you can't start choosing what yum food you are going to eat # SPIT ROAST... - Yummy roast beef rolls. Roast beef served with homemade coleslaw on a fresh Vietnamese roll. Gravy optional $8 - Roast pork rolls, served on a fresh roll with coleslaw. Saurkraut/gravy optional. $8 # BURGERS - Homemade beef paddy served on a fresh roll with homemade crunchy coleslaw $6 # NACHOS - Corn chips covered in melted cheese, topped with slow cooked beef, sour cream, guacamole and homemade salsa. Vegetarian option, served with refried beans. $8 # BAKED POTATO - Baked potato. 05.01.2022 MARKET STALL // We are so thrilled that the wonderful Maria Whiteside will be bringing her gorgeous Crochet items back again this year. Maria makes and donates 100% of all sales to the Parish, and has been doing so for many, many years. We are so lucky to have these beautiful parishioners within our community. Pop past and say 'hi' on Saturday.

04.01.2022 And our last post for this year (and he will absolutely hate me for this!!) is in honour of the amazing man who put up his hand to take over the massive job of leading the fete team for the past two years Chris Mullins. For anyone that isn't aware it is a MASSIVE job and pretty much an all year round job, just when the event finishes you start planning for the following year. Here I give you 2 photos: 1) Is Chris in action and it shows him perfectly. If you are lucky enou...gh to ever get the opportunity to work with Chris jump at it. He is the loveliest, most generous and one of the smartest people you will come across plus he is so calm under pressure (like when our rides cancelled at 4pm the day before the fete this year - yes that actually happened and he saved the day and found new rides!!) 2) Chris and his gorgeous wife Julia. I posted this pic because taking on this job is a huge time commitment and means lots of time working on the Fete when you could be spending time with your family, so we also wanted to say a huge thank-you to Jules and his beautiful kids for lending us Chris. Now the funny thing is Chris isn't on facebook so hopefully Jules can show him this post and if you see Chris walking around please make sure you give him a pat on the back for all of his hard work, running an event like this is often a thankless job so let's all show him how grateful we are for this brilliant and fun family day we get to enjoy - thanks to Chris and the hardworking committee and we will see you all in 2019

02.01.2022 How lucky are we to have one of our mums the brilliant Naomi Simmonds volunteer her time to take photographs of our wonderful event. The St Francis Xavier Parish Family Fair is all about community, friendship, fun and most important the kids! We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that was part of this event whether you volunteered on the day, donated items through our school collection days, brought raffle tickets, had a stall, were one of our business sponsors or just came along on the day - you helped to make our event a success and we love you for it! (Note: all photographs of the children are taken and published with signed permission forms)
