24.01.2022 And just like that, we made the news again... https://www.mcnews.com.au/st-george-mcc-summer-night-serie/ Firstly, a huge thanks to MCNews.com.au for the support of the races and the St George Motorcycle Club. A massive thanks to the hard work of Half Light Photographic and TDJ Media for writing the article, but also spending their entire weekend completing this..... But, this article would not be possible if it wasn't for all the racers and orange army that made this event as brilliant as it was. Thank you so much for the support of the club and the sport. Thanks to our great partners PirelliMoto and Link International, they make finding the red mist may be a little easier and without Young Henrys the post race debriefs would sound a lot more realistic... And just like that, 3rd and Final Round of the St George Summer Night Races are open for Priority Entries tonight at 7pm through the normal channels... (Priority Entries for St George MCC Members - Non Club Entries opens in a weeks time) We want to see as many people possible to the celebrate the send off the Inaugural Night Race Series at Sydney Motorsport Park and to help continue the support of the Black Dog Ride and their hard work. Speaking of more, a great link to a gallery from MCNews.com.au of the nights action. https://www.mcnews.com.au/st-george-mcc-summer-night-serie/ Until then Elbow Down

16.01.2022 In the lead up to the next great round of the St George Summer Night Races on the 8th January at Sydney Motorsport Park, sponsored by PirelliMoto and Link International. We are excited, as not sure if it is just by chance or good luck that our fantastic Men of St George 2021 Calendar has just dropped. With this, I would like to thank all the riders for their efforts and time in creating such a wonderful calendar. For the full experience, please click on the link below which... will allow you to download and print all for free. Makes a great New Year present for your friends or just to hang up in any location.. from the kitchen to the office to the classroom. A brilliant PG rated Calendar. As Darryl Kerrigan said "this is going straight to the pool room" The journey to create this calendar has been one of the funniest things I have been involved in, not sure what cause it is for, but what ever it was. Was absolutely funny and brilliant. This calendar / post is evidence of what a great community is the sport of road racing motorcycles... We take our lives into our hands every time we ride and we share that risk with our mates, our competitors and the great volunteer officials. So get yourself involved in this community, with a helmet on, waving a flag, pit crew for a mate, capturing moments of history...what ever it is. Get amongst it, you will never regret it. So print your copy out, get down and meet the people in the calendar - sure they would love to sign their picture for you. Meet the other great people in the sport and have a great time. Once again, thanks to all involved and see you all Friday Night. Spectators at this stage are still to be confirmed if they can attend due to the current social environment we live in. Stand by for a post very soon announcing yes or no... Until then, enjoy the calendar, look forward to the comments on this post and as always Elbow Down https://www.dropbox.com//2021%20STGMCC%20Men%20Calendar.pd

04.01.2022 What a weekend, from the incredible finish in the the IXON Formula St George 2 Hour with the winners being Carter Thompson #racing and archiemcdonald_69. To the... St George Motorcycle Clubs Top Ten won by Glenn Allerton Racing, with a 1.31 lap time in cold windy weather... the atmosphere was brilliant, didn't matter the lap time of the rider - everyone was applauded for having a go. The tragic purple chair was a great way to isolate the leaders and have some fun with them.. will be back for years to come, not sure about the flamingo... SHARK Helmets Retro Superbikes was full of great riders and beautifully presented motorcycles... The overall event was won by the infamous Mark Vaarjtes on the very quick ZX7, dipping into the 1.38's... The Dunlop Motorcycle RR Endurance Series Rd1 Sydney 5 Hour was started with a wet track that became dry very quickly and created a few team manager headaches. I only think this added to the event watching team strategies changing every minute... After the 5 Hours had past, the winners were Adrian Pelegrin and Glenn Allerton Racing whom finished the race with a brilliant stand up wheelie... a cracking way to finish the great weekend. The main reason for this post, is to say thank you to everyone that attended, raced, volunteered, worked and anyone that doesn't fit the previous... you all made the weekend and thank you for the support of the event, the club and the wonderful concept of Endurance Relay Racing. A very big thanks to the wonderful people that helped take the event to the next level. Edge Creative Printing for the increduble banners, numbers and artwork for the event, Eldee Timing Solutions for our results and timing of the weekend, On Print T Shirt Company for the brilliant custom team outfits and apparel that is still available for sale, the brilliant prizes and major sponsorship offered by Dunlop Tyres Australia & New Zealand, IXON and SHARK Helmets and Young Henrys for the great tasting post race hydrations... whilst the weather and the covid conditions got the better of the planned The Man Walk around the track under lights - please don't forget to support organisations like this and if you ever need someone to chat to, pick up the phone, join a walk, speak to a mate... as a motorcycling community - we are here for each other. In closing, to all the competitors from the weekend - please stay tuned to your emails over the next 72-96 hours, as we will be sending the pre registrations for the Dunlop Motorcycle RR Endurance Series Rd 2 Phillip Island 5 Hour November 21/22, with a ride planned for Friday the 20th. We are planning on going and will continuing to do so until such a time that we are advised that we cannot run... get excited - don't miss out on pre registration, as the available spots will be open to the public.... Till then, elbow down and to all whom were injured over the weekend, heal quickly and see you at PI.
