25.01.2022 The goal of the KATHERINE trial was to determine if treating patients at higher risk for recurrence following neoadjuvant therapy (based on the finding of pers...isting invasive breast cancer at surgery) with the antibody-drug conjugate T-DM1 instead of the standard therapy of trastuzumab would reduce the risk of recurrence without an unacceptable increase in toxicities, Charles E. Geyer, Jr., MD, said. https://oncozine.com/katherine-trial-trastuzumab-emtansine/

23.01.2022 We try to encourage women all the time to attend breast screening from 40yo. BreastScreen NSW will allow you a screening mammogram from 40yo, however only target women between 50 to 74yo. If you have a family history, especially if your family member was diagnosed under 50yo, please attend screening. Early detection gives you the best chance of cure.

10.01.2022 Totally agree. The out of pocket costs are out of the reach of most patients.
