25.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the low number of competitors who could confirm their availability, the committee has decided to postpone the races for Saturday 3 November to a date to be advised.

24.01.2022 AT THE June Spectacular, the Patti's Hire Barry Chaplin Trophy for 5.0-litre Open Inboard has been won by Adam Wood in Trophy, who led all the way. It was a close tussle for second where Dave Freedman (Still Cranky) edged out Michael Newton (Workhorse).

24.01.2022 Greg Banks capped off a great day of boat racing at the St George Powerboat Spectacular by winning the final event on the Saturday program, the Coca Cola Unlimited Unrestricted Harold Troy Trophy. In GBR he led all the way while Chris Hearne in Xplicit, just held off Tim Bollins in Watersports Marine. Fourth went to Simon Troy (888 Racing) and fifth to Aqua Marine driven by Steve Scott.

24.01.2022 THE JUNE SPECTACULAR at St George Motor Boat Club on Kogarah Bay has concluded with the APBA Len Sheltrum Trophy for 2700cc Super Sports. Simon Troy in 888 Racing backed up his earlier 2100cc victory with another, this time beating Brett Atkinson in Plus Fitness Kareela. Results of the three Junior divisions will be advised when the handicappers finalise their timings.

23.01.2022 Please help Montana Hope Atkinson Raise some very valuable funds with some other young ladies in Motorsport who have got together along with Kiducate to get the message out there to help Montana take a stand against bullying. Montana along with some of her boat boat racing friends have the privilege of being on one of the cards and supporting this great cause. Please follow the link below and you can donate as little or as much as you like or purchase a deck of cards for $30. Any help in greatly appreciated.

23.01.2022 No doubt you have seen Kay posting away on Facebook thanking everyone for their support. We am doing one last push for some extra funding if anyone knows anyone who might like to help. I had a quote today for AUD$16,000 to bring her home as she needs to fly Business Class with a nurse accompanying her to administer oxygen if she needs it in flight. Add this to the hospital bill and this one race has cost $40,000. Please if you know anyone with some deep pockets, please direc...t them my way. I will gladly sing the praises of any corporate that chooses to donate and am actually assisting in preparing an article for powerboat racing magazine in which I will publicly acknowledge support. For individuals, please just give what you can - it all helps. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing that figure go up just a bit more yet over the next day or two. Please help. xxx

22.01.2022 THE FEATURE event of the JUNE SPECTACULAR, the Champion of Champions, has been rescheduled to tomorrow morning, following delays with the breakdown of the start boat, and concerns about visibility with the late afternoon sun.

21.01.2022 THE FIRST heat of the Australian Power Boat Association Riverside Trophy has been delayed due to a throttle cable issue with start boat. Organisers will run heats of the Formula Future (Juniors) as the big guns refuel.

21.01.2022 Stolen 1979 Holden Monaro GTS ????? Does anyone know the whereabouts of this 1979 Monaro GTS stolen from behind a locked gate at a home in Yagoona at end of Ja...nuary 2018? Registration - NQO193 due 28.10.2018 Engine No - N852891 P Vin/Chassis - N852892 P Photo 1 - The side view of Monaro is of an accurate replica of what the vehicle should look like pre-theft. I can assure you truthfully that the car was of equal quality, if not more because it was fitted with a metal, electric retractable sun roof (not a factory fitted standard option), an unique feature for this model. Photo 2 - Shows rear of Monaro with inexplicable exploded rear window only held together by the tinted membrane. Photo 4 - was taken at Granville Tech. College "end of year " display by students in automotive Section to show off their competency in panel beating & spray painting for restoration jobs. This was in 1985 after they had used this vehicle as a class project for several months.

21.01.2022 THE FIRST outing for the Coca Cola Ernie Nunn Hydoplanes and KTs on Korgarah was spectacular to say the least. Liam Holland in Desperado and Stephen Scott in Aqua Marine turned it on in the early laps before Holland pulled clear. Young 16-year-old Hayden Sherry was an impressive third in Impatient.

21.01.2022 FIRST HEAT of the APBA 2100cc Supersports was won by Troy Banks in 888 Racing, leading all the way, from Troy Banks (Speed & Leisure) and Brett Atkinson (Plus Fitness Kareela). Banks backed up to win heat two which gave the 888 Racing pilot overall victory. Second went to Atkinson and third to Banks who unfortunately didn't get past the northern bouy on the first lap.

21.01.2022 The St. George Speedboat Spectacular is on next weekend (29 & 30 June). Unfortunately the early bird entry rate has now closed, but there is still plenty of time to put in an entry. There are plenty of Hydro races on the program but we could do with some more GP Hydro's to make the Mary & Ernie Nunn Championship a full race. Entries for all of the APBA Championship races need to go to the secretary of the NSW APBA. Racing will be live streamed but there is nothing like being there in person. The St. George Motor Boat Club has a newly refurbished restaurant upstairs, The Marinas Edge, its worth a visit.

20.01.2022 CHRIS HEARNE (Xplicit) looked to have the Emil Lumberg 6.0-litre Open Displacement in his keeping, that is until he broke down, gifting the win to Andrew Walmsley (Joe Jnr) over Michael Newton (Workhorse).

20.01.2022 IT IS a beautifyl, crisp morning on Kogarah Bay for day two of the JUNE SPECTACULAR. 18.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who responded indicating their unavailability for Saturday's races. Unfortunately we have to postpone the day to another time when people are available to attend. We only received indications from one big boat and two juniors they were intending to be there. The committee is inviting comments from drivers and boat owners as why they are unable to attend St. George races days and what is required to get them there.

18.01.2022 THE HYDROPLANES bogged down at the start of United Yacht Sales-backed Spencer Martin event. Chris Hearne (Xplicit) grabbed the lead from the start and held off the charge of Liam Holland (Desperado) with Damon Thurgar (Chevy Chase) third.

17.01.2022 IT WAS a thrilling Pallisters-backed Eric Chadwick Unlimited Unrestricted race where Craig Bailey (Moby Marine) saw off a stout challenge from Greg Banks (Speed & Leisure). Bailey only drew a couple of boat lenghts on the final lap when Banks went wide on the northern turn. Third went to Liam Holland in Desperado ahead of Simon Troy (888 Racing), just in front of Stephen Scott (Aqua Marine).

17.01.2022 Is anyone interested on a club day / test & tune day on Saturday 13 January 2018. We can run Formula Futures, 70 mph class and have solo runs for those who need to try their hand before committing to major event. We would need to have entries by mid week (say 10 Jan) to make sure we have enough starters to lock in divers and paramedics.

16.01.2022 Adam Wood driving Trouble is in a strong position to take out the Ken Waggott Trophy by Marina Bayside after leading all the way in heat two. The winner will be determined by most points accumulated over three heats. Impulse steered by Joel Mason held second until stopping on the final lap which gave the runner-up spot to Melodee in the hands of Brian Kilpatrick ahead of Back in Black piloted by Rob McIntyre.

14.01.2022 A CONTINGENCY plan has been put into place with a jet ski bringing the boats up for a white flag start from the Rescue 1 barge. It worked a treat for the David Blyth Pty Ltd Barry Sharp 6.0-litre Open Displacement where Chris Hearne (Xplicit) led from the outset and won. Brian Kilpatrick was an early stopper, leaving Andrew Walmsley (Joe Jnr) second ahead of Michael Newton (Workhorse).

10.01.2022 Today marked a sad day in our home , My niece 12 months ago bought a junior race boat with the name Monopoly on it today we saw it stripped of all its art work ...as after seeking approval from HASBRO we were told it had to be removed as the previous owners had not sought approval To do this to a 14 year old girl is heartbreaking so we as a family will never buy a HASBRO product again and are calling on others to do the same , I,m not sure how long this statement will stay on here as knowing what they did to my niece it will probably be removed by the big wigs at HASBRO so lets see what happens Ps this company had a revenue turn over of 5 Billion dollars in 2016 See more
