17.01.2022 During our Prep transition visit to the Balonne Kindergarten this morning we were treated to a mini concert from Camerata Chamber Orchestra! They were fabulous!! The Preps decided that we would all LOVE to attend their free concert at the Amphitheater starting at 6:30pm tonight #camerata

15.01.2022 Booklist for 2021 Only three weeks left until school resumes for 2021...we are looking forward to seeing our returning families and welcoming new families to our school community. Over this next week, stay tuned for special posts about the booklist items to show their use and explain how these items support the learning outcomes of your child. ... Items such as whiteboards markers allow your child to demonstrate their learning on our class sets of whiteboards. There are lots of times we use whiteboards for word work, sentence work, and demonstration of maths concepts. Highlighters are used with texts across a range of curriculum areas to allow students to search for and highlight the specific parts of speech, to find information or to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. One box of tissues per child is used in our Breath, Blow, Cough, Wash, Chew (BBCWC) program - support healthy nasal and ear canals which is essential for learning. Prep 2021 We operate a Student Resource Scheme which supplies all of the necessary resources for Prep at a total cost of $60.

12.01.2022 Book Club! Scholastic Book Club pamphlets will be distributed to children today. There are some wonderful books at great prices! Families must use Linked Online Ordering & Payments (LOOP) for Parents at: http://www.scholastic.com.au/ There you will be able to easily enter your order and pay via secure Westpac payment gateway and pay using your credit card. All orders must be in before 12 noon on Monday 19 October. When orders return to the School, the Library staff will organise for individual orders to get to students for them to take home. We will also hold orders for you to pick up if you are buying presents or similar.

11.01.2022 Try some tongue twisters this holiday and have fun with your kids. Tongue twisters are a great way to saturate your child with a language rich environment and show them that language can be used in very creative and fun ways!
