26.04.2022 Do you have a speech to do in the future? Is there an AGM that you need to present? Will you be able to competently do this in front of your peers? Lots of tips are available for speeches at your local toastmasters. Contact your St George Toastmasters for an opportunity to practice your speech to improve it.

22.01.2022 Last night we had the pleasure of sharing our meeting with Area Director Ben Handley and then this morning a few of us gathered at the QCWA Hall and enjoyed a late breakfast and more chatting.

19.01.2022 St George Toastmasters celebrated their Changeover on Thursday complete with cake. Guest Speaker, Mick, told us about his recent trip to China. Thanks all for making it a great evening.

19.01.2022 MEETING TONIGHT 7 PM!! Come and join us for a fun evening. We will listen to a speech, brave the Table Topics and maybe even try to be poetic about the arrival of Spring, although it has arrived emptyhanded without the rain. You are welcome to just come and listen and have a few laughs with us.

19.01.2022 Desley and David represented St George Toastmasters at the Lions Changeover on Saturday eveningh. They enjoyed the evening - and especially admired the Lions' bell!

18.01.2022 Parlez-vous francais??? 2020 International Toastmasters Conference will be in Paris. So tonight our theme is French!!! You can join us tonight at 7.30pm at the Catholic Hall. A little bit serious, a lot of laughs that's what Toastmasters is about!!

17.01.2022 And we are back live!!! After a few meetings via Zoom we are again going to meet at the Catholic Hall for our next meeting. Tomorrow, 7.15pm for a 7.30 start. You are all WELCOME!

15.01.2022 SHOW TIME !!! Since we didn't get to the show, the show came to us!! Show related Table Topics, our best hats and an Ice-cream Sunday, what else do you need? Great planning Desley, we all appreciated the thought you put in to last nights meeting. And on top of it all Desley received our Clubs first Pathways certificate. Well done! Look at the photos, we are all immersed in our jobs or just listening to great speeches.

15.01.2022 It was scary! It was weird! It was awesome! Toastmasters meeting on Halloween!! We had a visit from our Area Director Rosie Pfitzner and also another couple of visitors...... Rosie did a great job explaining about Pathways and we are slowly embracing this new Toastmasters program. Many of us have now done our Icebreaker and a couple of speeches in Level 1. Desley has already finished Level 1. Last night was awesome!... Next meeting is already next week the 7th November. You are welcome to come and see what we are doing and to listen to speeches and Impromptu speaking. See more

15.01.2022 Last night we had our Changeover. Although things are different this year we still managed to have a great night with friendship, laughter and good food. It can sometimes be a challenge to keep the social distance and to keep everything wiped and clean. But Stella and Robert did a great job before and after the meeting. Zenda brought the yummy cake. Thank you guys We ordered pizzas from the St George Bakery and they were amazing. Zoom is now part of our meetings and it was lovely to share the evening with Desley who was in Brisbane.

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone! We have continued our meetings on Zoom for now. From the comfort of our homes with heaters on and maybe a hot chocolate while we are catching up with our Toastmasters Friends. ... Another positive with Zoom meetings is that it doesn't matter where you are, you can still join in if you have an hour to spare. We enjoyed the company of Lynda B and Lynda T, Joe and Jenny from Northern Nomads Club last Thursday. If you would like to join us at our next meeting the 3rd of June let us know and we will email you the meeting link. Take Care.

11.01.2022 Happy New Year Everyone! We will start the New Year with Area Conference in Goondiwindi on the 18th of January. Then our meetings will start again on the 6th of February. We continue to meet at the Catholic Hall St George at 7.30pm every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. So no meeting in St George in January.... Hope to see you the 6th of February. See more

08.01.2022 Everyone enjoyed the St George Toastmasters Changeover!

07.01.2022 We had a great meeting last night here in St George. After nearly 3 months of Zoom meetings we finally got together again. A few members couldn't make it in to St George but with our new knowledge of Zoom and technology they could join us via Zoom. We had 5 people in the hall and 5 on Zoom. It was a meeting full of laughter as you can see. We welcome new members or if you just want to drop in for a meeting you will be very welcome. Our next meeting is our changeover on the 3rd of July and "normal" meeting Thursday the 16th July.

03.01.2022 Last night St George Toastmasters enjoyed dressing according to our Halloween theme. The Addams Family made an appearance as did a few other spooky characters. Some found it expedient to be more subtle in their following of the theme. It was a great evening with lots of fun and laughter. Our next meeting is Thursday 5 November in St Pat's Hall starting at 7:30pm. Why not come along?
