24.01.2022 I am delighted to announce that Michelle won 8/9 matches at Olympics Trials to be announced as No 1 Australian Woman for the 2020 Olympics. Michelle has worked incredibly hard to achieve this outstanding result while maintaining her connection to NSW Vets Challenge. 16.01.2022 TABLE TENNIS RISING STARS PLAYING AT HERE David Coleman, Federal Member for Banks, was astounded by the amazing skill displayed by our local talent when he officially opened the 2014 Australian Junior Table Tennis Championships at the Hurstville Aquatic and Leisure Centre. 180 girls and boys forming 49 teams from all round Australia competed for their State in the Under 18, Under 15 and Under 13 age teams as well as in the Individual Singles, Doubles and Mixed events.... Of the 57 city and country competitors representing NSW, 8 players who play in the weekly Teams Pennant at the Hurstville Aquatic and Leisure Centre are from the local area. They are brothers, Matthew (15) and Jayden (12) Leung and Celina Un (12) from Padstow. Celinas partner, Lucy Koh (12) comes from Peakhurst, Roy Lin (10) from Narwee, Alex Yeung from Penshurst, Jayden Lam (15) is from Kingsgrove and Ethan Chow (14) is from Carton. 05.01.2022 Earlier this week I visited players and families from the St George & Sutherland Shire Table Tennis Association in Hurstville. I was pleased to be able to recognise the efforts of seven of their players with a Banks Outstanding Sporting Achievement Award.

04.01.2022 Bobs funeral will be held on Wednesday 5 November at Burwood Baptist Church Condor St Burwood at 1.30 pm followed at Rookwood Cemetary Independent D section. A wake has been organised at Club Burwood cnr of Burwood Rd and George St Burwood (NO room at the RSL) from 2.30 - 5pm. You are welcome to join us to celebrate the life of Robert Wilson Beaumont. ... Sadly, my father Bob Beaumont passed away due to heart failure on Tuesday morning in hospital. He fell and broke his hip last Wednesday. He got through the operation and was doing well until he became short of breath and died soon after. He was one month off his 93rd birthday - a good innings. The Beaumont family is legendary in their ping pong playing. B\Dad built us our first table at Lower Mangrove where we played outside with green plastic pimple bats. Thelma was first to play at Summerhill with Dot DeLow in the 1960s. Bob and Thelma helped Wally Scott run the Arncliffe YMCA club for many years. Many of the juniors who started there still play the game today. Bob still has many of the Sutherland Shire records which Thelma kept meticulously. Dad was never as good as Mum (or else) but he supported her 100% as he did Gary, Jennifer, David and Gaye and took great pride in his grand daughter Michelles playing excellence. The love of his life Thelma passed away in February 2012. They were devoted to each other for 68yrs. We all feared Dad would soon follow but in true gutsy fashion Dad rose to the challenge of supporting David and then Gaye in their battle with cancer. Both of whom have anniversaries at this time. Bob was a family man with a great faith. An Australian who showed great courageous in the face of adversity. A gentle man with a good brain and a lovely sense of humour. It has been a privilege to spend time with him over these past few years. God bless him. may he rest in peace. Jennifer Aduckiewicz
