24.01.2022 The 2021 Musical will be hosted by St Patrick's College and the CAPA Team in conjunction with St Gregory's College. After the challenges of 2020, we've decided to take a time machine back to the joy and innocence of 1980. The world needs some silly, escapist fun and we're going to deliver. Featuring a large ensemble cast, skate with us into the bonkers hilarity of Xanadu! Auditions will be held early next year. It's time for students to practice their roller skating!

24.01.2022 What a wonderful few weeks Jodi Weisz (Class of 2020) has had. In addition to his collection of photographs being selected to feature in ARTEXPRESS in 2021, Jodi’s business, ‘JGW Photography’, was the winner in the Photography Business Category, in the 2020 Wollondilly Local Business Awards. Jodi shared these words with us below; The awards night was last night and I am extremely honoured to say that JGW Photography was the winner in the photography businesses category. I w...as up against five other photography businesses that were finalists and who were also pursuing their business full time. This is a significant achievement to me as I was the youngest business owner at the awards night, let alone in the photography category. Completing the HSC and running a business was difficult, but I’m glad to say, I was able to dedicate time to both while also maintaining a social life. St Greg’s has brought the most out of me. The dedication, hard work, motivation and the thriving attitude. That’s all because of the influence that you and the staff have on students. Thank you once again to you and the staff. I’m extremely grateful for what the College has done for me. Congratulations Jodi and we look forward to seeing you back at the College, camera in hand!

19.01.2022 WHITE RIBBON DAY - 20 November 2020 White Ribbon Day is our opportunity to bring people together in person or online - to raise awareness and commit to action to prevent men’s violence against women. In workplaces, schools and communities all over Australia, we’re asking you to stand up, speak out and act to end gendered violence. It's time to put the elimination of violence against women firmly on the agenda in our community by organising a White Ribbon event - a march, m...eal, webinar, meeting or more - and invite people to join you in ongoing action. This week, students in Year 11 ran workshops with our younger students in Years 7-10. The initiative allowed open and transparent discussions about violence against women and how men need to change attitudes and behaviours to prevent violence. Thank you Mrs Sawyer and her team for taking the White Ribbon Day theme and giving students across the Senior School a very strong message about developing respectful relationships with women. 16.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY || A different #throwbackthursday this week. We have all had a challenging year, to say the least, but one thing the College community is missing is the happy, smiling faces of our awesome parents and carers! So today, we throwback to 2019 when we held events and had families onsite! We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to the College sometime in 2021!

16.01.2022 Over the coming weeks, we are shining a spotlight on Year 12 students who have worked on major works in Timber, Metal and Industrial Technology Multimedia. Aiden Sadler is our next #studentspotlight.

14.01.2022 Last Friday, we welcomed the Year 7 2021 cohort for their official Orientation Day here at the Senior School. We had some familiar faces amongst the group (our current Year 6 boys) and many, many new ones. The boys had a full program for the day; visiting the farm, meeting current teachers, spending time in the Science labs and music rooms and embracing the opportunity to forge new friendships. We cannot wait to welcome them here permanently in 2021!

12.01.2022 Over the coming weeks, we are shining a spotlight on Year 12 students who have been working on major works in Timber, Metal and Industrial Technology Multimedia. Thomas Duncan is our next #studentspotlight What did you create for your project? For my year 12 major project, I made a short film about Go Karting.... Why did you choose this project, what was your inspiration? I chose to create a short film about Go Karting as I have a passion in motorsports. My inspiration was IMSA highlight videos. What materials did you use to create this project? I used cameras, tripods, computers, hard-drives. I also used Abode Premiere as the software to edit all my footage to get the end result. What did you learn about yourself during the process of creating this project? I learned that I’m actually decently good and capable of editing. Where do you see yourself using the skills you developed with the project in the future? As my career moves forward in motorsports, I could use footage like this to look back on. I could also continue to do these sorts of videos and record footage such as this for sponsorship purposes.

08.01.2022 The Junior School parents provided lovely goodies and cards for the staff today to thank them, in light of World Teachers' Day. A note back to our wonderful parents: "Our Junior School Staff would like to thank the parent community for the beautiful cards, notes and delicious goodies. We were very touched by this generosity and thank the parent community for making our day! "

07.01.2022 We have finally had it installed! With a nod to our College history, we have installed a 13m wallpaper in our Dining Hall. It includes wonderful images throughout the early years. A big thank you to Sealy Signs for making this happen. As you can imagine, some of the photos were of poor quality, yet with some TLC, they look amazing on the wall!... #maristschoolsaustralia #stgregoryscollegecampbelltown #australianboardingschoolsassociation

07.01.2022 What a great afternoon yesterday in the Marian Centre with over 150 boys in attendance for the Years 7-10 Exam Study Support session organised by two of our awesome Academic Coordinators, Miss Keir and Mrs Ursino! A big THANK YOU to the additional 30 members of staff who gave up their time to be there supporting the boys to assist them with their study.

07.01.2022 A big congratulations to Dominic Curtin (Year 10) who last weekend came away from the NSW Canoe Slalom State Championships with two Gold medals, finishing 1st in the U16 Mens K1 event and 1st in the U16 Men's C1 event. As a result of this, he was the fastest Junior (U18) in both events, which is quite an achievement for a 15 year old! Dominic continues to train hard despite uncertainty around his race schedule for the Nationals in January. He is now recording times that put him in contention for selection into the Junior National Team at the selections, which are scheduled for March 2021! The College community wish you the best of luck Dominic!

05.01.2022 On Tuesday, our HSC Staff participated in an HSC Symposium. Various staff presented sessions on Understanding HSC Marking, Strategies for Gaining Extra Marks and HSC Data Analysis. Mr MacMaster also presented a brief reflection of his time in various roles including Supervisor of Marking and Chief Examiner and discussed the imp...ortance and meaning of the Higher School Certificate. Staff are committed to ongoing learning opportunities and it was terrific to hear from so many staff with many different expertise during the evening.

05.01.2022 Last Friday, the Year 12 2020 Graduation Mass and Dinner was held here at the College. We are so proud as a College community, that we were able to provide a wonderful evening for the students and their families, after what has been a very quiet year, events wise, without families onsite. To our graduating Class of 2020, thank you for your years of contribution and example to St Gregory's College. We all wish you every success in the future, wherever it may take you. #class2...020 #stgregorysoldboys All photos are credited to AJ Moran Photography, Bowral
