21.01.2022 Finally have all the contents from my small art craft room moved into the bigger room at the back of the house. Now comes the tedious chore of putting everything to rights so i can get into some art. I am putting a load of last years glass into ACDC for their FUNTASTIC period. Hop along and have a look. We re down the West End oppsite Pollinators.

08.01.2022 Ive just been reading some valuable writing from Connie Solera from Dirty Footprints. About keeping a blog post alive. I have lapsed on this page myself and its not for want of time as im often on my mobile. Taking fotos. Catching up with all the goss on Facebook. So no excuse! I have been arting this year i just haven't documented any. Ive got into a pattern for each day which i ll review after my holiday to Broome. Usually on Monday I travel to Northampton to do textiles with some lovely ladies but im really not interested in sewing and the ideas allude me. But the companionship is nice so i may have to review what I really want to do. Drawing. Looking at techniques and just getting better at it. Maybe utilising the ideas in painting which i havent done any other of. Except a small a4 for an acdc fundraiser.

05.01.2022 So i have been making. Watercolour painting. Ive done 3 paintings and have had them professionally photographed and framed. They are now hanging in Art and Soul by the Sea in Geraldton and selling for $250@. Im also making buttons out of ceramic clay. I kind of fell into this and have 2 shops im selling to. One in Geraldton to Deb Buckle at Art and Soul and also for Kym McGlinn from Empty Bobbin in Dongara. Ive settled on some specific designs with Deb but for Kym i have a... free hand. Ive also been making macrame bead prototypes and this week i have produced a good selection on large 10 mm beads from Raku clay. Im also investigating mixing the raku with terracotta clay and white hand building clay. Over the holidays having a rest from Tafe and clay, i made up tiles of all the colours in my underglazes collection so i can tell exactly what the colours i use will be. Online colour charts arent all that specific and true to colour. This week i have also arranged for new branding of my buttons and had a stamp made up that will be ready by Wednesday. I have sourced some lovely cardboard in 280 gm to use in my carding, to present the buttons in Dongara. In Gero i use a corrugated cardboard. Im going to show you the process for buttons and beads in the next few weeks. So stay tuned.
