22.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR URGENT HELP! PLEASE SHARE THIS POST WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! This is Harley, Harley is 6 years old and one of the loveliest dogs you could... hope to meet. Harley came into care a few months ago with a lump on his head which was thought to be a cyst. The cyst was removed and he was put on a course of antibiotics, but the wound would not heal. He was put on another, stronger, round of antibiotics and sent home with his foster carer. Time went by and despite regular check ups at the vet, wound cleaning and care, the wound just wouldn’t heal, it just kept getting worse. Harley has been in and out of the vet and has now seen a specialist and has had a CT scan on his head. The specialist has discovered that he has a very rare fungal infection in his sinuses, the fungal infection is actually eating away at the bones in his sinus cavities. Poor Harley is going in for a biopsy tomorrow morning, with surgery tomorrow afternoon where they will fill his sinuses with a special gel and a curette to remove any areas which need to come out. He will be kept in overnight and then will likely need a second round of the same treatment. All up, Harley’s treatment costs are going to exceed $12,000 and so we are again asking for your help to raise this money we really need your support to get Harley better! We are asking our amazing supporters to please dig deep for Harley, we really need to get him on the road to his new life! If only 2,400 of our followers donated $5 (about the cost of your morning coffee!) we would be at our goal..! Let's do it for Harley!! Click to donate here: https://fundraise.giveeasy.org/camp/urgent-help-for-harley/ Or SMS the keyword HARLEY to 0417 663 757 to donate $5 (or more!) quickly and easily Or click the donate button at the top of the page

12.01.2022 THE POLICE STOPPED US! All parents should read this... We were going to my parents place for Christmas, which is about 60 minutes of driving from us. Half...way there, there was a routine police control. They pulled us over and asked to see my husband's driver's license. They also controlled some other things like our blinkers, tires, etc... Anyway, we had our son Ace with us in the car, sitting in the backseat - sleeping, as usual.. The police officer looked into the window and he said: "Excellent! Your son has great support for his head. As a traffic police I've seen so many cases of kids slipping out of their seat belts as they fall asleep in the backseat. And their parents are often unaware of it, which can be really dangerous and can cause a tragedy." The seat belt pillow reduces that risk significantly and it also makes sleeping a lot more comfortable. We got it for only a few dollars and now that feels like one of the best investments we ever made! I think they should be standard in all cars, so I want to encourage others to get them as well! You can get them at https://chasingtinyhumans.com/product/seat-belt-pillow Like, share or tag someone that you think should see this! xx PS: It's not Ace in the photo! #KeepYourKidsSafe (From a customer)

07.01.2022 ***SHUT THE GATE*** Somebody opened the gate and let my dog out! How many of our posts start with that sentence? I had a good reminder myself today, I have be...en doing this volunteer role in lost pets for six years and I know what can happen, I have heard all the scenarios. Today a delivery man came to our door and left the gates wide open, the dogs were inside but they can get out the doggy door, we are double gated and still, if I wasn’t here they would have been gone. I came back inside and tended to the incoming messages on our page only to have one of our old team members who wasn’t so lucky with her delivery man. It can happen to even the most vigilant of people. In todays world everyone is shopping online, and delivery people are coming into our gates all the time. It most certainly should also be the responsibility of the people who come through our gates, whether they be companies or visitors, and it is so easy for people who don’t have pets themselves to not even give them a thought. So do we lock our gates? In some places it is illegal to do so because emergency services can’t get access if need be. Even if you are just having a pizza delivered it is probably a good idea to have them beep at the gate rather than come through it. It should be company policy for any company that sends people onto your property to be aware of your pets. You can have a sign on your gate and hopefully people will do the right thing by it. But each property and situation is unique so have a plan in place to keep your babies safe (Toni)
