24.01.2022 The students have been trying out the traditional Chinese games of Shuttlecock and Ping Pong in their Chinese classes this week. If you visited China you would most likely see the children in the playgrounds playing these games!

23.01.2022 Students in Years 4-6 were involved with a special author workshop yesterday with Pat Flynn. His presentation was very engaging and his funny stories and great writing tips entertained students (and teachers). His books will probably go flying off the library shelves this week! Those in Prep to Year 3 were entertained as they were able to participate in the educational CBCA Book Week virtual incursion musical The Greatest Discovery. It combined a love of reading with a celebration of diversity and competition!

23.01.2022 Yesterday our Prep classes had a fantastic time at their Science incursion with Big Bang Education! They had so much fun learning about how things move. They also tested lots of objects to see if they spin, slide, roll or bounce!

They are open from 7am-6pm and will be having a 'Children's choice' day where the students can choose from fun activities including Fathers Day Craft. 21.01.2022 We havent been able to make it to Canberra this year but thank you to Michael Berkman - Greens MP for Maiwar for showing our Year 6s around State Parliament. They even had an impromptu stop by from our premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.

19.01.2022 Our Prep classes are familiarizing themselves with the Letter H by reading 'The Magic Hat' and today making Hat biscuits and wearing Hats. There were some fantastic hats in both classes and the students had a fantastic day learning about the letter H!

19.01.2022 A reminder that this Friday 4 September is a pupil free day. This is a professional development day for teachers with no students in attendance.

19.01.2022 The cheering was spirited and ball games hard fought as we prepared for our carnival being held on Friday. Students are encouraged to wear house colours to support their team.

17.01.2022 This week has been very exciting for our Pre-Preps who will be joining St Ignatius next year! We have had three special Orientation sessions for the Pre-Preps and their parents to get to know their new school. The children had great fun in the classrooms doing puzzles, lego, drawing and reading stories while their parents participated in a parent education session. We are looking forward to them all joining us next year at St Ignatius.

12.01.2022 Yesterday Year 1 had their Minibeasts incursion with Moreton Bay Environmental Education Centre. The students had a fantastic time searching for minibeasts in Coram Play Space. They got to collect some of the minibeasts found with a bug catcher and brought them back to the lab to identify and observe. The students then had a chance to use microscopes to see some of the features on a range of different insects and arachnids close up. At the end, the students released their minibeasts back into the wild and discussed how they can look after them.

03.01.2022 The classes are enjoying some fantastic incursions in the last weeks of school. Yesterday our Year 1 classes spent time making Christmas Reindeer out of clay and our Prep classes were introduced to some beautiful Australian animals in a wildlife encounter!

02.01.2022 Yesterday our Year 2 students went on a trip back in time to the Caboolture Historical Village to learn about the 'Olden Days'! They were able to see a blacksmith in action, see a demonstration on how people used to wash their clothes, see what students did to get ready for school, and panned for gems. They even spent some time in the local Gaol!
