25.01.2022 Mini wedges served for breakfast all week long on the Sunshine Coast #WinterFunPark

25.01.2022 I have just made a brand new video on how I shoot these Motion Blur Seascapes. Its up on my YouTube channel. Link to the clip is in my bio legends. For Anyone that is interested in the technique, I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think.

25.01.2022 LOOKING for some male talent to be in a eyewear brand photoshoot. For the first shoot we need someone between 19-30 yr old that is based on, or can get to the Sunshine Coast QLD. There will be lifestyle shots and action, hoping for a surfer for the first shoot, however will be also looking for mountain bike riders, fisherman and adventurous types down the track. Talent will receive the library of action and lifestyle images and two pairs of sunglasses of their choice. Basically we will be hanging out for a morning/arvo surfing and the photographing the lifestyle around it. Please DM me if you are interested and please tag anyone in this post that you think might be keen to be involved

23.01.2022 Thanks so much to all the crew that have joined my free training on Water & Surf photography over the last month and to those that have gone on to the in depth Pro Water Photographer course. 23.01.2022 Longboard finesse via @brettcaller For your Thursday evening

22.01.2022 A photo is always just a single moment in time, but there is normally a story and journey leading up to that image and that is where the joy and lessons in life and photography can be learned. This one tube shot of Cameron Lindsay is wrapped up into this four minute video. It tells some of the journey, the gear used, the settings that I selected and where the photo ended up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5MFJpc6tVw

22.01.2022 EARLY R I S E R

21.01.2022 The Inertia surfing platform with a surf photography technique video of ours has just been posted...

21.01.2022 I haven’t been photographing many waves & surf for the past few months with our north QLD trip, but I’m back in the zone now. Despite this time away from the waves, our full length course on Water Photography is growing in content almost weekly, with so much more planned for the coming months. The results that some of my members have been getting really are amazing!! So epic to see them growing their portfolios and having so much fun along the way. If this is something you are interested in then please shoot me a message or check my link in bio for more info So good to be back in the oceans energy #phototips #waterphotography

20.01.2022 The LAST sunset of Autumn 2020 yesterday evening on the #SunshineCoast I reckon Winter is shaping up to be just as amazing #BringItOn @ Stumers Creek

20.01.2022 Tonights colour-show on the #SunshineCoast It was even more vivid to the west would you believe? But I had to shoot the shoreline. Would have been so nice from the water... better preparation required #LionsGate magic

20.01.2022 We are all just here to help walk each other home...I’m taking the scenic route and boy have I met some beautiful souls along the way #BeKind and enjoy your journey

19.01.2022 We have left the Noosa Light Studio this week in search of some other Queensland wonders. As we are restricted to our state we are going to spend the next month or so travelling QLD. Any hot tips on where we should check out would be great! Currently camped out at Agnes Water and heading towards Cairns, not adverse to going inland if there is something worthwhile our young fella loves crocs and snakes so if ya know a good spot to see fresh or salt water crocs let us know

18.01.2022 One pic from my latest #IGTV video on varying exposure levels with #WaterPhotography

18.01.2022 New YouTube video up today. Talking about this shot and getting good surf shots from poor wave conditions. A short video on the backstory behind this one for those that are curious. Link in bio to have a look #phototips #aquatech_imagingsolutions #canonaustralia #surfphotography

16.01.2022 Quick Handheld snap of yesterdays rise loving playing around with the rotating screen on the EOSR. Getting a low composition without laying belly down in the wet sand like I normally would can be an advantage (although I sorta do like getting messy sometimes) @canonaustralia Camera data 1/100th sec. F 5.6 ISO 100. EOSR with 15-35 2.8 RF lens

15.01.2022 Today's PIC from our online print shop is of that tree in New Zealand .... she's pretty special hey? So many are drawn to this single tree in the lake near Wanaka. It sure is a beautiful place both visually and energetically. Print options here: https://riptideprints.com//stimages/products/wanaka-tree-nz

14.01.2022 LIGHT over LOCATION every time for me. I have said for many years now that I would rather photograph a rubbish dump with amazing light than an epic location with okay light. Don’t get me wrong I love finding beautiful landscapes and world class setups, but I get way more stoked when some crazy low light beams come out of nowhere or the light that comes after a storm or when the sky goes all sorts of colours at sunrise. The best thing is that this can happen where ever you are!! no plane tickets or expensive travel required, just a little bit of awareness of the weather. This one was taken standing on highway one in North Queensland just 20 meters from my free camping spot for the night. Gotta love the changing light #ChasingTheLight #phototips

14.01.2022 Is it worth insuring your photography gear? and are water housings and the use of your gear in the water covered. In this video I discuss my experience and journey with insuring my gear over the last 18 years both with regular photography gear and insuring for use in the ocean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWToEOAAvgs&t=25s

14.01.2022 Born in the ocean - At one with the ocean @tia_mandu #Noosa

12.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday I got a lot of crew calling photoshop when I posted this image. Which was really unexpected to me... I thought geez if I was going to photoshop it I would have put a far better wave than that into the picture. The truth is this was all totally real. It was taken back in 2012 when I was shooting a trip with @perfectwavetravel in the Maldives. The boat had shipwrecked right in front of one of the better left handlers in the southern atolls. This is the inside section of the wave, the best bit of the reef was further out, but on high tide I could get one of the crew to surf right up against it to get the shot. It was a massive boat!! @ Maldives, Indian Ocean

12.01.2022 Very cool looking new venture right here: https://www.thecoastline-magazine.com/

07.01.2022 beautiful 10 minute piece from somewhere a little colder...

07.01.2022 Cape Tribulation in the Daintree region was as far north as we went on this QLD trip. Only spent a day there, but will be back for more another time. This series of 3 images was a team effort. Sherrin took the 1st shot from her drone at the exact time I was playing around on the sand with the 100mm macro lens for the 2nd shot and the 3rd shot of the elusive giant birds was taken by our wildlife mad boy @billyswildlifephotography it’s a magic part of the world that has some strong energies #able #swipeacross #farnorthqld

04.01.2022 Do any other photographers load entire sessions on to their hard drives and then not even look at the images for months or years later, or never at all? I found this picture today while searching for something else. Taken nearly 18 months ago and totally forgotten about the few hundred images that I shot at this NSW north coast location. Most times I will be checking the images the same day I take them if I know Ive got a few good ones, but I must have many sessions that will never be looked at by even me!! Happy to share this one of @harleyingleby fitting his longboard into places in a wave that only a handful of crew would be capable of.

03.01.2022 Contrary to popular belief I reckon 2020 has been one beautiful year. I have seen and experienced countless transformations. I’ve seen people learning new skills, starting new businesses and thriving against the odds. I seen people going back to their passions and turning their backs on what doesn’t light them up. I’ve seen people start to work from home and in turn better connect with their families. I’ve seen people focus on their health, take back their power and stand in ...their sovereignty. People are asking questions of themselves and the world and evolving quickly from the suppressive systems. I’ve seen people move to locations that better suit their way of life. I’ve seen communities coming together to lift each other up... I’ve seen so much positivity for change. I have also seen the fear and negativity and those that choose to feed into it. And for them 2020 is going to have nothing on what they will face in 2021. Those that leave their radios on all day or tune into their tell-a-visions at night will actively feed into a fear based world that will produce more misery and restrictions. The good news is all that they have to do is get rid of the TV, throw out the radio and the change for a better life will happen immediately. It’s time to sit into your power right now and everything will go next level, creativity will go wild!! The time is now - rise up my friends. 2021 is going to be even more beautiful. Happy New Year legends! See more

01.01.2022 Pure Joy at Noosa this arvo!! It all started when I rolled into the Nationals Carpark just as it was opened for the first time in months (pumping Noosa with an empty carpark I dont think that has ever happened!! the empty parks lasted about 15 mins) I then surfed the most perfect waves at Tea Tree for a few hours and got back to my camera just before sunset to shoot a few slow shutters. I cant remember getting a speed blur like this one. The splash back off the rock made it look a bit full on, but I think I like it? #WhiteWaterEverywhere #Lovethisplace #lazyshutter #stoked @ Noosa Heads, Queensland
