19.01.2022 Don't forget to take a few moments throughout the day to just BE without having to do anything, without guilt, without thinking, without having to produce or ge...t anything done. Just simply take some time to feel the present moment. I generally do that by tuning into my senses. One exercise I find helpful is the '5 things'. First bring yourself to the present moment and use your senses to notice 5 things you can see, smell, feel (e.g the wind or sun on the skin, the feet touching the floor or sensation of the clothes against the skin), and taste (this one is a bit more difficult but try). Really take your time to notice and if your mind wanders, don't judge yourself or be hard on yourself - just simply notice that your mind has wandered off and bring your focus back to the task. This is the a mindfulness exercise I use regularly and the more you practice, the easier it gets. The mind is just like a muscle - every time we bring our focus back is like doing the situp. It's not about doing it perfectly, but about just doing it. Be kind with yourself and be patient as you learn. See more
