25.01.2022 FINAL UPDATE FROM BYRON After a fantastic 2 days of womens rugby, the Stingers fought to the end but unfortunately went down in a hard-fought GF 25-7 to Nations 7s. The scores were level at half-time but with our girls sustaining a few injuries and missing a couple of key players we were unable to finish the job. As coaches, we would like to thank the girls for their effort and attitude. We are proud of everyone and look forward to another Rugby adventure in Scone. Wel...l done girls, a mighty effort in our first tournament together. BRING ON THE NEXT ONE!!! You have come together not knowing each other and leaving as friends and inaugural members of the Stingers. Special thanks to Amanda for all of your hard work. 25.01.2022 The Stingers are super excited to be back in action this weekend at Byron Bay Rugby 7's after a 7 month break.....We have assembled another exciting group of young ladies sprinkled with a little experience as well!! As you can see, we have some tough competition on day one. This is such a great tournament with an awesome atmosphere, we can't wait to get there!! 18.01.2022 Todays draw is out for the Lake Macquarie 7s. This is the exact reason why the Stingers exist. What an opportunity for our team today to experience playing against high quality opposition. We are in a pool with Southern Districts Rugby Club, Randwick Rugby Club and Sydney University Womens Rugby Club. It will be a tough day but our girls will learn so much and will give it their all.... Standby for updates!!!

11.01.2022 Scone day 1 - thats a wrap!!! Stingers go down in game 4 22-10 to the powerful waratahs club from Newcastle, a brutal encounter!!! The girls should take good confidence from their second half comeback against their experienced counterparts......We finished 2nd in our pool and face the impressive Southern Districts in the cup semi final at 10am tomorrow. A special shout out to two quality humans Charlotte Caslick and Lewis Holland from Australian Womens 7s Team and Australia...n Mens Rugby Sevens for helping out and giving their time to our girls today. An amazing experience and something our young girls from the bush will never forget!! Bring on day 2!!

10.01.2022 Stingers finnish fourth after a close loss 17-12 to Central Coast Rugby Academy. Congrats to Southern Districts for taking out the GF in an epic finish. Thanks to Scone Brumbies Rugby Club for hosting a fantastic weekend of rugby. Also thanks to Gary Walsh and his team from NSW Rugby for all their work with referees and match officials and the players from the Aussie 7s side that helped out, our girls are still star struck!! Hugely proud of our 10 girls who played this weeken...d. They travelled from as far south as Canberra to Ballina in the North and out to Bathurst in the West. For a group of young women with an average age of 19, most of them meeting each other on Friday night, to play against and match it with established club sides who regularly train with each other and are filled with state and Australian reps is nothing short of amazing. With a host of injuries the girls pushed through, playing for each other and really strengthened the Stingers culture. Im sure the girls will never forget that weekend!!! We will talk more about these guys later, but we must make special mention of our sponsors .... without their support, it would not be possible to create these life long memories and friendships for these young women. 02.01.2022 We are back in action this weekend at the Inverell 7s in Northern NSW. We are very excited about this weekend, such a great little town!! Our girls are in a pool with the very strong Highlanders outfit as well as Moree and Robb College. In very exciting news, we have our first ever mens team competing this weekend. We have an exciting mix of young players sprinkled with a bit of experience. ... The men have a tough pool playing UQ first up followed by Robb College and a team of Pacific Islanders called Kanganuts. Good luck to both teams. 02.01.2022 With a bit of cohesion in game 2...the stingers deal out an upset to Sydney Uni winning comprehensively 22-5!!! The star studded Randwick are up next!!

02.01.2022 Bowl final champions!!!! The girls saved their best for last, demolishing the Central Coast 7s academy 33-0. A great day had by all, thanks to the girls for all the effort!!!

02.01.2022 Randwick win 4 tries to nil. Nothing but effort from our girls, too much structure from the Randwick girls....theyll be tough to beat. The good news is, with our strong performances and good for and against the Stingers are through to the Bowl final!!!
