23.01.2022 Here we are on the first day of Autumn. With lovely days and cool nights . Still no rain. We have a busy year ahead. Our senior member's health is not good but we have new joining members. Our senior members whose health is failing, like many of us are forgetful at times but not when it comes to ritual. Says a few lines and they will complete the paragraph. Amazing. Our W.M., W.Bro Cardillo is doing a great job providing inspiration and encouragement. Here in South Australia the Regulations are under review and this is proving to be an interesting exercise with input from many brethren.

19.01.2022 Brother Victor Cardillo was Installed and Invested as W.M of Sir Samuel Way Lodge on 9 November 2017.

10.01.2022 Prince of Wales Lodge which meets at Mount Barker held a ceremony of Re-Consecration of the lodge in November in a ceremony led by the M.W.Grand Master. It was an open ceremony with public, family, friends and local Councilors in attendance. The Lodge room was full. A number of lodges were present including Sir Samuel Way brethren.

09.01.2022 At our October meeting the lodge presented Prince Of Wales Lodge with a cheque for $50,000 to enable important repairs to the Masonic Hall at Mount Barker.

05.01.2022 A few years ago we sent out a questionnaire to the brethren. A brother from an adjoining lodge criticised it as demeaning and lecturing. We were surprised at this response. A few questionnaires were returned - the usual statistical response levels. Are we on the right track and should we send it out again. We are posting it here for global response/input. Here it is: ...Continue reading

04.01.2022 Last month the Lodge donated $50,000 to Grand Lodge to assist with much needed repairs to the building.

04.01.2022 The Lodge was formed in 1901 by a group of men and Councillors from the district and met at the Institute Hall at Stirling East. Those early members of the Lodge took on a mortgage to enable them to buy the building at 31 Milan Terrace opposite the Stirling Hospital. On 21 November 1914, the Lodge was warranted, consecrated and dedicated by The Grand Master, Sir Samuel James Way, Baronet, who was the Chief Justice at the time and a Privy Councillor. This was to be the last o...Continue reading

01.01.2022 The four Hills lodges: Prince of Wales, Hore-Ruthven, Blackwood and Sir Samuel Way conducted a combined initiation ceremony for a Blackwood Lodge candidate on 6 December. The W.M. of Blackwood Lodge, W.Bro Deverson received the candidate and obligated him. Brethren from the four lodges participated in the delivery of ritual. It was a wonderful night demonstrating fraternal support for and by each lodge highlighted with a great candidate.
