25.01.2022 Another GOOD NEWS STORY from Lisa McGuinness - TtW OSBORNE PARK Chadd attended his initial appointment with SST unsure of what he wanted to pursue but with a strong determination to work full time. At his initial appointment he briefly mentioned his struggles with mental health. Together with his Career Advocate, he decided to Chadd was so excited to start training and had great feedback from his trainers. He regularly attended class and was also attending appointments whil...e training, this helped SST stay in touch with him and still look for potential employment opportunities. Chadd successfully completed his Certificate in September 2017. The CA, Lisa McGuinness, and Chadd worked hard and kept applying to jobs, at some point even engaging with the Growth Box in creating a video resume, which was shared and marketed to employers in the Malaga area. The Employer Engagement Consultant helped him with this recording and it also helped him be more confident. The CA and Chadd worked hard applying to jobs. The CA also helped with signing him up to a free online course with Open 2 Study called Nutrition Food and your Health Training and provided him with two free 5 day gym passes. This not only helped with his mental and physical health but also provided an opportunity to reconnect with his mother who he had invited to join him. Chadd had various interviews lined up, having his CA and Employer Engagement Consultant help him with his interview skills. His CA not only advised him of the internship position at Rackmans they worked on Chadds resume together. Chadd secured an interview with the Manager and was successful in securing an internship. On 21/05/2018, Chadd successfully completed his internship and started working with Rackman full time. Chadd, with the assistance from the Post Placement Support team and EEC, passed his 6 month mark of employment. He is loving work, looking forward to a promotion this year and has received great reviews from his supervisors. Last year at Christmas, he bought presents for his mum and a new car for himself. UPDATE: Chadd was recently promoted to a Managers position.

16.01.2022 We are very proud of our Annual Performance Review for 2018-19 The annual department review conducted by the Department of Employment Skills Small and Family Business measured us on KPIs relating to outcome performance, engagement and quality which is rated into 12 categories across 3 contracts. We achieved all KPIs with a score 12 out of 12. This is a significant improvement from 2017-18 where we scored 10 out of 12. In short, feedback showed great results including outcomes being achieved, participants are being supported OFF Centrelink payments, engaging participants quickly from referral. Nationally 45% contracts achieved their KPIS in 2018-2019, and all our contracts are well above the national average, which is a fantastic result by the team and the employment services support and management team.

13.01.2022 We love sharing our Good News Stories - from Annabelle Porter TtW Morley Roxwell Simpson, a jobseeker with an Indigenous background, had been searching for employment for over a year and had almost reached the end of his period of service. Roxwell had completed a Surface Extraction course which he received positive feedback from our RTO Trainer and was keen for further training as he was particularly interested in a mechanics apprenticeship. Although Roxwell was timid and sh...y at the beginning, he managed to contact Morley Galleria and arranged for our employment consultant to discuss the internship program with the service manager. Roxwell successfully completed a 10 weeks internship which converted to an apprentice mechanic. He is still employed and very grateful for the apprenticeship & TtW program. During this time he also obtained a manual drivers license. See more
