24.01.2022 The A.H.J.S.A Vice-chair Bruce Tonkin just took delivery of more than a couple of oranges from Michaela at Pick A Local, Pick SA. This is part of their 2-tonne...(!) citrus season launch (https://pickalocalpicksa.com.au/citrus-season-launches-jus/) and will be distributed amongst any club interested in receiving a box. FYI until you get told otherwise gone are the days where oranges are quartered, tubbed and chucked in the middle of a group of parched kids to ravish. Not much we can do about that unfortunately! Clubs Check your inbox for pick-up details.

24.01.2022 SDFC FUTSAL PITCH - All persons who enter either gate into the Futsal Pitch MUST be wearing football boots, no exceptions - All spectators to stay outside the fence due to current social distancing rules and lack of space for the players and coaches on the sidelines.

21.01.2022 We've ten rounds to go in our fourteen round season. This weekend will see ROUND FIVE played between all the different clubs and across all the different venues.... For the most part games have been friendly. Unfortunately grievances will always be a part of any competitive sport, and the AHJSA is not spared of this. If you're a parent with an issue approach an official from within your club to discuss the matter further. It may be that they're already aware of it and are dealing with it. If you're a club official and you've an issue with another club approach their club official first. This may help open up some dialogue between the two clubs where the problem is easily solved over a quick conversation and an apology or two. As a last resort the AHJSA, who are built on volunteers for both the association as well as their own club, is happy to mediate a matter should there be no resolution. Otherwise remember that we all want to be on the nice side of competitive play here. Going beyond that is not enjoyable for anyone. Go make some positive memories!

15.01.2022 Hi All, Just some important information for all SDFC members. The SDFC has been signed up again through Good Sports Club. For those of you who don't know its purpose is to promote family-friendly sports clubs with a reduction in alcohol and smoking at clubs.... As such it requires no drinking games, no happy hours, and ALL ALCOHOL TO BE SERVED AT THE CLUB ONLY BY ADULTS OVER 18 WITH RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL TRAINING. We need to produce a list of these people and display this list at the clubhouse. Therefore I would like to ask you all who has successfully completed RSA training to please pass your name onto your teams coaches/managers or email directly [email protected] ? This would help a lot for junior presentation night and Twilight. Please let us know if you are RSA trained and can help us out for this important role. What about if you aren't RSA trained, but would like to volunteer to have Responsible Service of Alcohol training at the club? Well, we need you too. Same as above, contact your coaches/managers or pop us an email. The RSA course takes 5-6 hours and has no expiry date. We are trying to arrange inhouse training at the clubhouse for that to happen.

11.01.2022 Dear SDFC families, We are urgently seeking a member of our club to volunteer to be our clubs representative on the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association committee. Your commitment would involve attending a monthly meeting in Woodside with the representatives from other clubs within the association. Most recently it was decided that at least 50% of these meetings would be conducted online. The next meeting will be held on 19/05/20 at 7:30pm. I haven't had this confirmed bu...t given the current restrictions on groups meeting I would assume this would be another online meeting. As a part of our agreement for our club to be a part of this association we are required to provide a representative on this committee. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could please put their hand up to help us with this role. If you have any questions or would like some further clarification please do not hesitate to contact us. Many thanks SDFC

10.01.2022 Yay.....We are allowed to crank it up again slowly.

10.01.2022 Great instructions

10.01.2022 The AHJSA has teamed up with the SAJSA South Australian Junior Soccer Associations to offer a post-season U16 Tournament within the Adelaide Hills. U16 teams fr...om other SAJSA associations (including Whyalla, Limestone Coast and Port Lincoln), will travel our way for the weekend of the 31st October and 1st November to compete in some short games on the Saturday, following by full-length games on the Sunday. Why U16? Well, due to COVID, this season was the last opportunity for most of this age group to represent the Adelaide Hills in an SAJSA Championship. This is a little treat just for those players to say thanks for being part of the AHJSA. For everyone else there will be next season (with the Rep Trials coming up in a few weeks!). This Tournament is eligible to boys born 2004 or 2005, or girls born 2004, 2005 or 2006. Trials will be held at Hahndorf Soccer Club on 10th of October, from 10am to 12pm. There will be a quick team selection process and the opportunity to train for a few weeks prior to the big weekend. Interested? Make your way to Hahndorf for the trials. Good luck!

04.01.2022 Hi All - SDFC members Following the last SDFC Committee meeting, we agreed to make further improvements to the facilities at SDFC. Arrangements to install solar panels to the clubhouse roof are underway.... We are looking for assistance in other projects : - improve security fencing and install security cameras to the futsal pitch ( there is repeated break-ins and vandalism to the futsal pitch despite burglar alarm and notices warning trespassers will be prosecuted) - have 4 new dugouts for senior and junior pitches We are aware that the SDFC community is a multi-talented bunch and if anyone has a business or skills to help with these projects we would much rather pay you to do this than outsource it! Please let us know if you are interested. Many thanks

03.01.2022 Congratulations to all.
