23.01.2022 Latest garden design complete - a formal parterre style with secret spaces, nooks and corners for hiding. Water wise and heat tolerant plant selections too.

16.01.2022 A concept design for a new build. Designed to be enjoyed from every room - glimpses of serene and calming outdoor spaces as you pass through the house and garden, including productive garden. A great garden starts with a well considered design.

16.01.2022 Loved doing this design - making the most of an unusual shaped block in inner Adelaide. The design maximises functional space, and creates viewpoints to be enjoyed from within the new extension. It includes a bike shed, deck with inbuilt seating and cantilevered pergola, low maintenance layered plantings with textural contrast to maximise depth in a small garden, plus subtle lighting plan, lawn for kids, espaliered fruit, veggie growing space and even a kids fort!

15.01.2022 A garden design for a grand old home needing realigned paths and new garden spaces due to previous subdivisions. The garden design and materials selected were sympathetic to the history of this home, to give a botanical feel with Australian natives and hardy mediterranean plants. Habitat plants for the abundant birdlife and even the resident sleepy lizard were selected. Stone was reused and sourced to create a seamless transition between old & new. Thanks to Nick Allen from Luna Landscapes for bringing this one to fruition. We designed and created a fantastic adventure play fort for the kids to enjoy. This beautiful garden will continue to evolve and grow and provide the next chapter in the life of this home.

14.01.2022 Watch this space!... It's inspiring to watch a new garden start to come to life and leap off the page - thanks to all the hard work of Nick Allen and the team at Luna Landscapes. Looking forward to plants going in soon...

13.01.2022 Thrilled to be nominated a finalist in Residential Landscape valued under $40,000 at Master Landscapers of SA Awards of Excellence!

11.01.2022 Loved doing this design! A challenging brief - small inner city yard, currently dominated by a large hedge hiding a utility area. The brief was to create an expanded garden and maximise lawn for three medium sized dogs, room for entertaining, retain privacy, retain shed and clothesline and all plants to be tough enough to cope with 3 dogs. The design opens up the garden, layered plantings create depth, focus on textural contrast and year round interest. All plants are low water use, extremely heat tolerant for Adelaide's tough conditions and able to cope with dog traffic. The raised round deck provides a viewing spot for dogs to watch over their domain, but also a quiet sitting spot for the couple to enjoy. Bet you can't see the hidden clothesline! I can't wait to see this design come to life!

11.01.2022 Thinking outside the square in an Adelaide front yard... The client wanted to eliminate thirsty lawn in her front yard and make access to her side yard easier. Instead of straight lines and artificial turf, by working within a clients requirements, a clever design has created a beautiful front garden with an increased sense of depth and space through textured layered plantings of waterwise perennials and natives. The garden is thriving over these hot summer months on low water use drip irrigation and will attract nectar feeding birds. The screening plants produce fruit and there are various edible herbs scattered throughout this beautiful garden. A great design produces great results! Many thanks to Justin and the team at All Seasons Yard Services for a flawless construct.

08.01.2022 A design to connect an inner southern hills home with their bushland surroundings, designed to enhance their experience of the property and 'blur the hard lines'. Attention was paid to plant selection for erosion control and bushfire retardant plants around the house. Plants also selected to attract native fauna, in particular, the threatened superb blue fairy wren.
