25.01.2022 Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. Can you be more like Jesus by giving to the Schoolbags for Jesus project? Please send donations to the school office by Friday.

25.01.2022 Our annual Lapathon for Lifelink is in full swing. This year after 15 minutes of running, each child had to carry a plastic cup of water around the track. They had to try hard not to spill any water. This is to remind the students that in many countries, young children walk over 10km each day to bring water to their homes.

25.01.2022 As the weather is beginning to warm up, please remember to bring a bottle of water to school each day. Why water? It is essential to stay hydrated! It is recommended that: children aged 5 8 years drink 1000ml per day (4 big cups) children aged 9 12 years drink 1500ml per day (6 big cups) young people aged 13+ years drink 2000ml per day (8 big cups).... Bottles of water are sold at the school canteen for those children who have forgotten their bottle. See more

24.01.2022 We were truly blessed with beautiful weather for our annual Grandparent's Day at St Jerome's. Thank you to the staff, canteen ladies and student council for preparing the event - especially Mrs Hoare! We were lucky enough to have a sneak peek of the Aladdin performance!

24.01.2022 Children cannot be expected to fix someones problems, nor know the best way to help and support. At St Jeromes we encourage children to listen to what their friend is saying, let them know they care and tell a teacher or trusted adult if they are worried about their friend. Children can learn that asking, Are you OK?, is a key life skill.

24.01.2022 Yesterday our Kindy children and their teachers enjoyed having Farmer Damian and his animals visit.

23.01.2022 Perth is experiencing some very cold weather at present. Yet today many students were without their jackets. We know they say to you , " Im not cold!" but we hear their teeth chattering & see the goosebumps. Please insist that they at least wear the school jacket & even an extra beanie or coat.

23.01.2022 There are limited spaces available for our 2021 Pre-Kindy, 4 year old Kindy and Pre-Primary classes where our teachers set the foundations for life-long learning through innovative, play-based, hands on and inquiry experiences. Call Robin on 9499 9500 for more information.

21.01.2022 Thank you to all the students who donated their pre-loved books and those that bought a pre-loved book for a gold coin. Your contributions will support remote communities to purchase new reading materials!

19.01.2022 The generosity of the St Jeromes community is amazing! Thank you to the families who have donated to the Schoolbags for Jesus project. We still need the following items if you have any at home (used or new) - rulers, blue and black pens, lead pencils, exercise books, T-shirts and caps, erasers, story books, coloured pencils and crayons. Thank you to the Student Council who have organised the project.

17.01.2022 MASTERCHEF St Jeromes style! Our PP classes were very clever in using the fennel that they have been growing in their vegetable garden. Mrs Hoare and Mrs Alaniz tasted delicious fennel and bacon muffins, meatballs and home made pasta! They were amazed at the creativity, flavours and amazing presentation of the dishes. The children were involved in literacy, numeracy and oral language as well as the many everyday life skills during this fun activity. Congratulations to the children and their teachers.

17.01.2022 These photos of the school/ parish car park were taken between 3-10 & 3-13pm this afternoon. As can be easily seen, there are plenty of empty car bays. We are trying to be helpful citizens & so we ask families to avoid creating long traffic snarls along Rockingham Road. Please make your way to the car park & then walk to pick up your child. If we can reduce the numbers of cars using drive through, the traffic congestion will decrease. Thank you everyone. More details in todays newsletter which will be posted shortly.
