22.01.2022 Congratulations to the eight students who presented their School Captain speech this morning. Well done to all of the Year 5 students who nominated themselves for the Captain and Vice Captain position. We are extremely proud of you all.

21.01.2022 Proud Principal Moment! Today I received a lovely compliment from the Cricket NSW staff who have been facilitating the cricket sessions for sport. They spoke very highly of the students of St Joseph's, especially their respectful behaviour during the sessions. They have enjoyed working at our school. Well done to all! 21.01.2022 Each week the students in Year 3 are given the opportunity to share their special talents. This week this group of boys created and performed a very entertaining play. So much talent in our school! ENGAGE INQUIRE ACHIEVE

14.01.2022 A special delivery of letters came today from Year 2. I received a number of persuasive letters outlining strong arguments for new playground equipment. They suggested I ask the students to vote for the best idea.

13.01.2022 Such generous donations for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. The donations will be collected by St Vinnies tomorrow, 27 November. Thank you for "seeing a need and doing something about it." This will make a difference to the lives of many families.

10.01.2022 Today is the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. Here is a beautiful prayer written by one of the students in Year 4 thanking God for the gift of creation.

10.01.2022 Yesterday we wore our team colours. The children enjoyed the NRL clinics that we had this term as part of our physical education curriculum.

06.01.2022 Christmas has come early here at St Joseph's in Inquiring Minds.The last Year 3 lesson for 2020 involved the children in the following challenges: - Design and make a Christmas tree using only toothpicks and jube lollies - Make a shelf for the elf using paddle pop sticks and playdough. However, the elf has already been munching on too many Christmas treats so is a little heavier than your average elf. - Design a reindeer that can travel smoothly and without stopping on a flying fox. #SydneyCatholicSchools

04.01.2022 What has been happening in Inquiring Minds? Year 3's Task - Design, code and make a micro-pet using the Microbit. Year 5's Task - Make a Bloxel game that will entertain and teach about Australian Native bees. The Year 1 and Year 2 students were used as an audience to test the successfulness of their game. The games included enemies such as dragon flies and rain. The characters could power-up by collecting pollen, nectar and royal jelly. ... K-2 Developmental Play - Green screen fun!
